    Hi there!

    I have the following problem.

My website has two languages. The original language is Dutch, the translated pages are in English. I work with the WPML plugin.

The homepage has 1 anchor link (#contact), which is used in the main menu (‘Contact’). When on the Dutch homepage, scrolling to this section happens via the anchor link ‘#contact’ in the menu-item ‘Contact’. Then the homepage scrolls to the contact-section.

When coming from a subpage, I use a seperate subpage-menu to make jumping to the home page anchor link possible. The custom Menu-link looks like this in the dutch version: https://website.nl/#contact

This all works fine for the Dutch subpages and original URL’s. But the problem occurs when I want to apply the same method to the English homepage and subpages: linking to the anchor #contact from the homewage menu as well as the subpage menu doesn’t work. The link URLs from English subpages to the (English) homepage anchor looks like this: https://website.nl/en/#contact
Unfortunately, nothing happens when this anchor link is referred to.

So, the question is: how can I get the page anchor-link working in the subpage menu of the English website version?

Could you please help me out with this? Thanks in advance!

    Kind regards,
    Michiel

    Hi,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

It’s not working correctly because the name or ID of the grid row element is voorstel instead of contact. You should edit the grid row in the EN page, and adjust the value of the Section ID.

    <div id="voorstel" class="av-layout-grid-container"></div>

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

Oh, I’m so sorry, this is pretty stupid. I really thought that I had already changed this.
It seems to work now. Thanks for waking me up :)

Excuse me for wasting your time. Can you please delete this useless support question?

    Kind regards,
    Michiel
