Anchor link breaks CSS

Hi. Thanks again for a great theme. I need to use anchor links for single page navigation and have used color section with IDs. The problem (I think) is that the Section ID removes the styling the content had before. Before the page was divided into three/nine and there was a left sidebar in the three section and a text block in the nine section. Now the Color Section spans full width and the left sidebar ends up below.
If color sections can’t be used with the sidebar, is there another way to create one page navigation with anchor links?
