    Hi,

    Hoping somebody can help. I realised the contact form on my website was not visible despite working previously. On further investigation and the sticky post in the forum it appears to be due to a WordPress update.

    I have Enfold child theme installed and although I don’t have a great deal of knowledge, I believe the Child theme is the safest way for updating content.

    When I try to update Enfold via WP admin, I get the error that a WordPress update failed. Is there anyway for me to do this manually or is there a way to correct this?

    Please try updating the parent theme via FTP and make sure to overwrite all files – http://vimeo.com/67209750

    Hi,

    Sorry this may sound like a dumb question, but I’m assuming the child theme protects all my amended content so none of it gets overwritten? :)

    Hey!

    Yes, you can go ahead and update the parent theme. Your content and options are saved on your database and i am assuming, if you have modified any theme files, you have moved them to your child theme.
