Hey guys, I have a question regarding the layout builder. If the IMAGE option is used from your builder to add imagery to a page, with the alt tags defined within the Media Gallery, will the alt tags then count with Google? Or do I need to use the standard default text editor of Google and add media there in order to make the alt tags count?
Let me know if I need to be more clear in question.
Thanks!

Yes, the ALT tags added within the Media Library should be all you need for Google.

February 20, 2018 at 6:34 pm #914948Hi,
Do you mean through the media library? I’m no SEO expert, but fro researching enough WP sites, I’m sure the Alt tag added on the initial image upload is good.
Best regards,

You can audit your pages and check for this using one of the many SEO page checkers available online. Yoast and the ALB have a difficult relationship… often Yoast doesn’t “read” content in ALB correctly.
