    Hello Enfold,

Suddenly my whole site broke. All the layout builder stuff is gone.
It is just a html menu first and then texct and images?

    Any help?

    *edit*

    All plugins deactivated.
    Kinda works.

Almost no images. Content sections with background don’t work. Also Content slider broke

    Edit2

    It was w3tc. Breaks everything

    edit 3
Everything with an animation doesn’t work. And all the contect sections with a 50% browser window height dont work.
Also editting a page is almost impossible. They dont get loaded in the backend.

    Edit 4
Also search button links to search page, not too floating searchbox

    Edit 5
You can’t acces anything in a tabbed container, also stuff like googlemaps and hotspot images don’t work

    edit 6
I switched from child to main enfold theme. Now everything works. But I would like to keep my child theme, also I lost all my widgets.

    Edit 7

Everything is working. Except its not a child theme anymore. And I don’t use w3tc.
We are having more and more frequent errors with the theme. It gets stuck in maintance mode or gives critical errors.

I would like to return to a child theme.
Do you have suggestions for speeding up the site without w3tc.
Yoast 3.0 isnt working very good either with us.

Are these known bugs? or is something wrong with our site?

    Hi WolfvanHaeren!

Have you been able to figure this one out as well? :)

    Best regards,

No I haven’t. I don’t really know what to do. When I preview my child theme all the animations are still gone. So that won’t work.
Should I make a new one? And how do I do that now. The site looks fine as it is on the main enfold theme with quick css adjustments. Do I need a child theme then?

    Can I use w3tc?

    Edit1
When I turn w3tc on the site turns into a white screen with html links, all layout is removed. I need to optimize the website somehow

    Hi,

You could have a look a look at the following plugins for optimisation:

    GZip Ninja Speed Compression:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/gzip-ninja-speed-compression/
    WP Smush:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smushit/
    W3 Total cache:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/
    BWP Minify:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/bwp-minify/

    Best regards,

    Hello Rikard,
    Thanks for the tips,
But any idea why my child theme would suddenly stop working or why w3tc completly ruins my site?
And how would I make a child theme now without breaking everything again

    Edit:
It seems impossible to use gzip either via htacces or a plugin like ninja/wp supercache or w3tc. |
Could there be somthing in the theme that is preventing this?

    Hi,

Sorry for the late reply, I have no idea to be honest but you could try asking the plugin authors, they would probably have a better idea. But if everything is working as it should now I would just move on and try not to make the same mistake again.

I’ve never seen any problems with the plugins I recommended you, what problems are you getting?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hello Rikard,
I am waiting for a response from w3tc.
When I activate it all the style disappears and the main menu becomes a list of blue standard html links with content below it.
Another problem is that I can’t activate any way of gzip. It just doesn’t work and that is strange.

    cheers

    Hi,

Ok, let’s see what they have to say about it. You might want to look for an alternative plugin though?

    Thanks,
    Rikard

They aren’t responding. I am using w3tc at this moment. It works with “Enable compatibility mode”

    Thanks for the help!
