Help! All my pages suddenly disappeared. We had so many with so much content with school materials! I have no idea how this happened. Can somebody please help?
Thank you so much
July 11, 2018 at 5:24 pm #984306So I just went into my CPanel to restore the files and I will see if that works! Does anybody have any idea as to why this happened in the first place? It was working perfectly fine this morning. I went into the home page to upload a JPEG that was a small file and then the site lost connection and then BAM all my pages disappeared! Strangest thing I have dealt with.
Thank you. You guys are the best!

I’m not sure what could have happened there, but I’m glad to hear that you solved the problem. Please let us know if you should need any further help on the topic or if we can close it.

Thanks for the feedback. Did you try to restore a backup of the site? Your hosting provider should be able to help you out with that if you don’t know how to do it.

If so, I would change hosting providers. We had issues like this constantly when we were with GD… the others are just a little bit more in cost but so much more stable.
July 13, 2018 at 5:05 pm #985231Hi, yes. We use Go Daddy.
I am currently doing a live Restore of the files right now. One of the hosting specialist said there was an issue with the theme. There were 150 MB of airlog that showed up within the last couple of days. Not entirely sure what is going on with that.
Thanks
July 13, 2018 at 5:09 pm #985232Hey,
- You could copy the code and paste it here using – https://pastebin.com/
- You could take a screenshot of the log, upload it to imgur.com or Dropbox public folder and share the links here
- You could share your cPanel logins in private content field and we can check the files
Thanks for your input @goldengate415. You guessed right :)

YigitJuly 13, 2018 at 5:21 pm #985241Hi Yigit,
Thank you. I provided CPanel logins below. I am currently doing a live restore to see what happens. There is still a way to go but I am hoping this solves the issue. Our hosting provider did mention having our theme developers take a look in the airlog to figure out what the issue is. We keep running into the strangest technical issues every other week it seems! We probably should switch, but it is unfortunately not up to me though!
Thank you so much!
July 15, 2018 at 5:55 pm #985685You are running into the “strangest technical issues” each week because you are using one of the worst hosting providers out there. Believe me, I was in your shoes, and each week it seemed like something else had gone wrong on the site. I would check the site each morning and hold my breath, wondering if it would load or throw some strange error.
Since I switched, I have had zero problems with my provider. Strange problems like you’re experiencing are a hallmark of Go Daddy so I would strongly encourage you to switch to a better provider. Hope this helps. Best, Rob
July 15, 2018 at 6:06 pm #985688Hi!
I logged in and it seems like 243 pages are restored now. Maybe it was a database issue and wordpress failed to load the pages from the database (due to slow database server, high traffic/work load, etc.).

PeterJuly 16, 2018 at 4:35 pm #985974Hi!
Yes, I did a live restore and it seems to all be working fine now. Just do not know why this happened in the first place. I can’t get over how many technical issues we run into on a weekly basis. If it were up to me, I would ditch Go Daddy! We are having another issue on one of our sites where the background image for grids does not appear on Chrome browsers. I tried figuring this out myself but was unable to! Anyone else have this issue too?
Thanks Guys
July 17, 2018 at 5:04 am #986241Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. I’m not sure why that background image is not showing, could you post admin login details for that site as well in private so that we can have a closer look please?

Thanks for that. Could you try to change the containing element to a Color Section instead to see if that works better?
Best regards,
RikardJuly 18, 2018 at 5:04 pm #987094Color sections work fine, I was just wondering why the grid was not displaying it when it previously was before. I will just put it as a color section to be done with it.
Thank you for all your help! Much appreciated.
