Hi,
Until recently a few of the posts on a current site build’s slugs contained words they shouldn’t (the name of another post for example) and this was reflected in the AJAX search element’s results.
We’ve since changed the offending slugs and the results were positive in the search element upon clicking enter, however, the wrong pages are still displayed in the real time search feature that appears in a dropdown beneath the search field.
Do you know why this may be? We’ve tried the usual cache clearing.
We’re also currently using the plugin, Relevanssi, but have tried with and without and this doesn’t seem to be causing the problem.
Thanks,

how can we see the error on your website?
Best regards,
AndyOctober 19, 2016 at 5:56 pm #701453Hi Andy,
Try, for example, searching for the word ‘Hatea’ in the search bar of the link in the private section of my original post. The live result dropdown of the search bar shows pages which don’t (but used to) contain the word. I’ve attached a screenshot of this.
The results are, however, fine after clicking enter and being directed to the search page.
Thanks,

Have you tried to rebuild the index? Are you still using the search plugin? Please post the login details here so that we can check the settings.
Best regards,

We have tried rebuilding the index but no change. We’re still using the search plugin but have tried with and without with the same results.
Your login details are attached in the private content section below.
Thanks,
LaurenceOctober 27, 2016 at 4:48 am #704642Hi,
Thank you for the info. Please set the user role to “administrator” so that we can check the entire settings of the search plugin. Or go to the Settings > Relevanssi panel then adjust the value of the “Minimum word length to index:” field from 3 to 5. Save the index and rebuild it. The search form should return more accurate results.
Did you implement the following functions?

Best regards,
