Hi,
I have a few sites where I use the grid layout for the blog. Since the latest update, the metadata (except) for the date, is not displayed anymore, f.i. the category. I checked the content block settings and main settings, but cannot find the reason for disappearing. It happened at all the sites I used this layout on.

MoniqueMarch 15, 2017 at 7:46 am #761188Hi,
ALB is the Avia Layout Builder, if you have used that to create your posts then what you are describing would be the expected behaviour. When using the builder for posts then you will need to add all content to the post manually, or save it while the default editor is active. Could you try that out?

RikardMarch 16, 2017 at 3:17 pm #761968Hi Rikard,
It doesn’t concern posts but pages, where I use the blog grid layout, which indeed is part of the Avia Layout Builder
See screenshots for more clarity: categories where there before by default, but have disappeared after updating. I cannot see where I can make changes in display, since this wasn’t necessary to do before the theme update.
March 17, 2017 at 7:25 am #762364Hi,
Ok, thanks for the clarification. Did you try clearing the cache from your caching plugin and leave it disabled?

RikardMarch 21, 2017 at 2:47 pm #764210Tried all of that, not helping.
March 24, 2017 at 1:24 pm #766131Hi boemedia,
Here is how you can get it back. Have to set Enfold > blog layout> blog styling to elegant, not business.
Let us know if you have any more questions.

VictoriaMarch 24, 2017 at 1:43 pm #766146Hi,
I tested it on my end and category is showing up fine for me. So something must cause it especially on your end.
Please deactivate all plugins one by one to check which one is causing this issue and let us know if this solves the problem.
In addition to that, please let us know if we are allowed to deactivate one or more of your plugins as well for testing purposes :)Also remove any customizations you’ve done, to check if one is causing this.
Switch off caching function, then deactivate the cache plugin, then clear browser cache and hard refresh a few times.

AndyMarch 26, 2017 at 9:49 pm #767071@ Andy: turned off all plugins. Removed customization. Purged cache. This all didn’t help. But what helped, is what your collegue Victoria suggested: change blog style from business to elegant or modern business. Only: it breaks my styling in a bad way. Is there another way to show the categories but keeping the normal/default business blog style?
March 27, 2017 at 6:17 pm #767603Hi,
unfortunately Victoria was right and the categories are available only when using elegant blog style. However, I’ll inform Kriesi about this issue and hopefully he can do something about it soon. Thank you for making us aware about it and thanks for being patient!
Best regards,
