In testing and tweaking a site for a good mobile experience, I’m reviewing font sizes. I adjusted the General Styling tab > Advanced Options: Customize Typography Settings, but they do not appear to take affect. I even deleted the Advanced Styling tab typography option that was set in case of conflict. I even cleared the server host cache, disabled the Enfold CSS and javascript compression and cleared the mobile browser cache. No success-–I can’t see the changed font size.

    Hey Tanja,

Thanks for the login details. I changed the h2 settings under Advanced Styling, but I can’t see any problems on my end. The settings are applying. Did you try using a different browser?

    Best regards,

Correction, General Styling tab > Advanced Options: Customize Typography Settings is what is not appearing to take affect. The Advanced Styling only sets a generic font size for all devices. The General Styling tab offers font sizes for desktop, tablet portrait, tablet landscape and mobile—and that’s what’s not overriding the Advanced Styling generic setting.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. The Advanced styling will override the typography settings, so please set your preferred font sizes there instead.

So the General Styling tab > Advanced Options: Customize Typography Settings don’t work?

The Advanced Styling options don’t provide responsive font size control (desktop, tablet, mobile). That’s why I’m trying to use the Customize Typography Settings. If they don’t work, why are they offered?

    Hi,

If you take the h2 element as an example; you need to remove the h2 element from Advanced Styling, or not set the font size there. Otherwise that setting will override what you have set under General Styling->Typography.

Thank you! Ok, so that’s what I did in the first place. “I even deleted the Advanced Styling tab typography option that was set in case of conflict.” Can you please try changing the H2 to 18px for example, but only using the General Styling->Typography. Because it doesn’t work for me.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. I’ve set the font size for the h2 element to default under Advanced Styling, you can see that the sizes that you have set under General Styling->Typography are now applying.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
