This is how it looks:
This is how far I get designing my new landing page:
Once I add the text block on the left side I can no longer save the template, with the following error message:
The advanced layer editor will never again load on that specific page again.
I had an old version of wordpress (4.3) and also enfold (3. something) – which I updated, but the same problem remains.
Also, tried using a diffeerent browser (edge) and deactivating all plugins to no avail.

So is it only because you try to save a template? That is if you don’t try to save a template it will keep working?
I know you said that you have tried deactivating all plugins, but did you try this before you started building the page? Including Yoast?

No, it’s not only when I want to save a template. The advanced layer editor will also stop respondning if I save draft, or preview – which is how I originally ran into this.
Just now I did exactly like this:
I disabled all WP plugins from chrome.
I closed chrome.
I opened edge and I rebuilt the page exactly as I did before, from scratch.
It stopped responding at the exact same place – after adding text, into the text box.It seems like the only option that remains then, would be a full reinstall of the theme?
I never did that before – but I suspect it’s akin to wiping your harddrive – and I will have to rebuild all the content once more – is this true?

I looked at your image of the text block that you add before it crashes, and I wonder about the present sign, are you pasting text in “Visual” or “Text” in the editor? Try only using “Text” and no present sign or other symbols, lets just rule that out :)
When you update manually via FTP: https://vimeo.com/67209750 you only replace the core files, your data (content) is in the database, which you are not touching. Should a file have an error in it causing the issue, this would fix. I still recommend backing up with: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/ just because I’m a backuper, I often backup before updating plugins :)

MikeJuly 2, 2017 at 3:35 pm #815570I didn’t get the part about the present sign! But I tried pasting the text in “Text” and not in Visual and iat made no difference.
I’ll look into the manuak update, and report back.
