Not sure why but when I click advanced layout editor in a fresh new page it won’t load up for me. I’ve tried on different pcs and the same result. I did upgrade to WP 4.0 but also I’m sure my enfold is up to date. Oh another weird thing is that on my pages that have existing Advanced layout builder stuff it still works.

September 10, 2014 at 11:13 pm #317000Hey Barabbas!
Please make sure that you are using the latest version of Enfold which is 2.9.2 – http://vimeo.com/67209750
If you are, please try de-activating all active plugins
EDIT: You are using older version 2.7.1Best regards,

September 10, 2014 at 11:26 pm #317012Hello, I’m using Enfold 2.9.2 on WordPress 4 and I have the same problem. This is the website: http://www.diocesi-sanmarino-montefeltro.it/
September 10, 2014 at 11:31 pm #317017Actually to me the advanced layout editor never works..
September 10, 2014 at 11:45 pm #317023Thanks man. Still learning over here. Quick question, is there anywhere I could see how others build their pages with the advanced layout builder or maybe templates I could download?
September 11, 2014 at 12:15 pm #317299I’m using 2.9.2 and WP4.0. The advanced layout editor is not working anymore.
The text-editor shows HTML-sourcecode, but the visual-editor shows an blank input-field. And this is strange: the buttons for formatting (bold, link, etc.) appear in the text-editor-mode, not in the visual-editor !
It’s impossible to work with, please help.
September 11, 2014 at 12:39 pm #317312Hi!
@barabbas You can go to Enfold theme options > Import & Export and import dummy data then you can edit those pages which would help you figure out how to use Advanced Layout Builder faster. Please also see – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/portfolio-item/intro-to-the-advanced-layout-editor/
@webdesire and @anderandreani please try deactivating all active plugins and check if that helpsCheers!
YigitSeptember 11, 2014 at 12:56 pm #317327Hi
I posted this on a separate thread an hour ago so apologies for reposting but you seem to be on the same issue here so thought i would try again.I am having the same problem as others after wordpress 4 upgrade, ie spinning wheel of death. I have used ftp filezilla to upload enfold 2.9.2 and in the remote site side of filezilla it looks like this has been successful. however on my wordpress dashboard>themes>enfold it still says version 2.9.1. i have tried flushing cache, reinstalling wordpress 4, two different browsers, and tried going through dashboard>enfold>theme options>theme update, but it says
“no updates available. you are running the latest version! Great!”
i try “check manually” but this just takes me to the dashboard>wordpress updates page.
I have been reading the forums and spent most of yesterday tying to get this to work but am at a loss as to what to try next. I am fairly new to wordpress so there may be a “reset” button somewhere that i am not aware of, or some simple trick to get enfold to update but just dont know what it is.
by the way all plugins upgraded and deactivated
also tried to upload 2.9.2 zip file within dashboard>themes but got the response
“Destination folder already exists. /home/”my id”/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/
Theme install failed.”
my site is
http://italianfoodandflavours.com
could do with some help

September 11, 2014 at 1:00 pm #317332Hi!
Yes i have checked your website and seems like update was not successful. Can you please try once again via FTP and make sure to overwrite all files – http://vimeo.com/67209750
Also, you may have Enfold installed in another directory, so please make sure that you are updating the correct one.Cheers!

See it at here.

September 12, 2014 at 6:55 am #317873@erwin_m, have you tried disabling all third-party plugins to see if it gets fixed?
Regards,
JosueSeptember 12, 2014 at 7:24 am #317894Hi,
I’ve disabled a view plugins at first and indeed the avia builder is working again. Nailed it doen to “display widgets”, I thought. But after I’ve enabled this one again, and with that all plugins are eneabled again, the avia builder still works. sometimes….
Thanks!
September 12, 2014 at 7:32 am #317898Make sure to update your plugins too.

JosueSeptember 12, 2014 at 9:06 am #317957Hi,
I agree that its important to update plugins also. When I update wordpress I also update my plugins immediately.
But thanks for the tip!
