October 16, 2016 at 10:15 pm #699710Hi again, I can still not get the theme to work. I realized that it is also missing lots of the features in the drop down bar. There is no Demo Import or Google Services. It says the theme is updated but I don’t think it is. Can you please help? I can’t edit the home page at this point and my client is attending a conference tomorrow and desperately needs the site up and running.
October 18, 2016 at 6:58 am #700396Hi,
You are running a very old version of the theme and it does say that an update is available under Appearance->Themes. Latest version of the theme is 3.8 so please try updating. Also make sure to backup your site before updating in case something should go wrong.
Thanks,

October 19, 2016 at 12:59 am #700959Hi, I’m having the same ALE problem. Nothing happens. Can’t even get the default editor to work.
Running 3.8 and latest WordPress. It works fine on my local Mac hard drive copy with MAMP but not on the live site. The only difference is that the live site uses Clef for security. (I’ve reinstalled WordPress and Enfold). Blog is in early days so quite happy to trash it all and start again – especially since I have a local backup of the content, but this lack of an editor is extremely frustrating!October 19, 2016 at 3:56 pm #701390Hi,
Did you try following the suggestions here? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/my-enfold-layout-builder-is-not-loading-properly/. If none of them work we would need a login, you have the option to set the ability to log in with user/pass in Clef.
Best regards,

I don’t think Enfold 3.8 and WordPress 4.6.1 play nicely yet. For instructions on how to backup and downgrade: http://dominiquej.com/how-to-downgrade-wordpress-to-previous-version/
November 2, 2016 at 9:24 am #707016Hi @TheRetailCoach,
Thanks for sharing that, though the builder and theme work fine for most users on latest version of WordPress, there can be caching or local issues for some.
Best regards,
RikardNovember 3, 2016 at 11:53 pm #707989Thanks, in the end the only solution that worked for me was to completely wipe the site and re-install everything (including WordPress itself) from scratch. All seems okay now, but my confidence in Enfold has taken a hit.
cheers,
IanNovember 4, 2016 at 1:53 am #708006Hi Ian,
Glad that it’s fixed. We are very sorry for what happened, sometimes unexpected things happen during an update that’s why there’s always a reminder to backup everything first before doing updates on wordpress, themes like Enfold and plugins.
Best regards,
Nikko -
