Hi there. I’ve done a lot of Googling and searching in the forum. I have tried implementing some of the suggested solutions to no avail. Here are some things I have done:
The Advanced Layout Builder sometimes stops loading properly due to different factors like browser caching. Here are a few things you could try to fix it:
First of all, make sure that you are running the latest version of the theme – you can find out what the latest version is here
Clear your browser cache and restart – Guide to clearing your browser cache
Try a different browser to verify if you are getting cached results or not – preferably a browser you have never used to log into the WordPress installation in question with before. If it works as expected in this browser, then you are getting cached results in the first one
Disable all plugins to see if there is a conflict with any of them – if there is a conflict, you can reactivate them one by one to find out which one is causing the problem
If none of the above should work, then try to overwrite your theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account – Please make sure to properly back your site up prior to attempting this. Refer to this guide for further instruction on updating via FTP.PLEASE HELP ME.
August 28, 2016 at 7:40 am #678582Hey aiepro,
I checked your site for any issues with the layout builder but did not come across anything unusual other than the “Wordfence” plugin was blocking a few actions on the layout builder. If you face any issue please deactivate “Wordfence” plugin and check it out.
As of now everything seem to work correctly but in case you have any issue please let us know exactly how we can re-produce the issue so we can help you better.
Best regards,
VinayAugust 29, 2016 at 1:32 am #678713I cannot see the edit buttons to add sliders, lines, boxes, etc…
August 29, 2016 at 1:35 am #678715I have tried deactivating the Wordfence as well, and still, I do not see the editing tools to create sliders, add photos, add text boxes, add line breaks, and the like.
September 1, 2016 at 12:43 am #680404Hi there. I have also reinstalled the new theme via FTP. I still can’t create pages wherein I would be able to use (via drag and drop) boxes, lines, sliders, etc. Please help.
Try creating a PAGE. I do not see the editor buttons to drag and drop. There is normally the editor buttons for creating blog posts.
September 1, 2016 at 6:18 am #680484Hi,
Thank you for elaborating the issue. like you said when I create a new page the ALB options are disabled. Do we have your permission to deactivate all active plugins and troubleshoot this issue?
Best regards,
VinaySeptember 2, 2016 at 1:40 am #681080Hi there. Yes, you can disable the plugins when troubleshooting the issue.
If possible, can you activate a plugin for “UNDER CONSTRUCTION” so that my website visitors will see that you are working on the website? If not, it’s okay.
Thanks.
September 2, 2016 at 1:44 am #681081I am also including my FTP access here.
September 2, 2016 at 9:19 am #681197Hi,
I checked your site for any plugin conflicts but everything seem to be normal. I am afraid you might need to update the theme manually – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

VinaySeptember 3, 2016 at 9:46 am #681597Are you saying that you see the Advanced Layout Editor buttons? On my end, I do not see them? Do I need to provide a screen cap for this? Can you show me a screen cap?
I cannot add boxes and lines and sliders. These options are missing.

BasilisSeptember 3, 2016 at 10:29 am #681606Hi there. On September 1, 2:43pm, I already posted that I have reinstsalled the theme via FTP.
Here’s a screen cap: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10209496038531436&l=c56f4f536c
September 3, 2016 at 12:01 pm #681617I really hope you can help me. I really need to get the website going as I have not been able to make changes for the past few days.
September 3, 2016 at 12:24 pm #681620I have also done this step:
2. Changing the Memory Limit via wp-config.php
If you don’t want to mess with the PHP.ini file, then you can go for this method. In this you won’t be needing to create any extra file in your Directory.
Just Adding define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’64M’); in your ‘wp-config.php’ file would increase your PHP Memory Limit to 64 MB.
September 3, 2016 at 12:41 pm #681624I have resolved the issue. I don’t know why you weren’t able to lead me to it.
Here’s what I did.
I went to ENFOLD >> Theme Options
And I unchecked this: Lock advanced layout builder
September 4, 2016 at 2:07 pm #681791Hi,
There are many reasons why this could have happened but yes we should have check the layout builder options first.
Glad this is sorted for you. If you have any other issues please feel free to open a new ticket :)Best regards,
