I’m trying to edit any page. The advanced layout editor is missing. There is no checkbox for it under “Screen Options.”

May 16, 2017 at 10:44 pm #794517Hi,
If you could please try and update to the latest version of Enfold (4.0.7), we can see if that alleviates the issue
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonMay 16, 2017 at 11:47 pm #794541Okay. I Updated to 4.0.7 and still have the same issue. The Layout Builder is nowhere to be found.
May 17, 2017 at 2:16 am #794564Hi,
Have you attempted increasing your php memory limit, as well disabling all plugins to ensure that there is no conflict.
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonMay 17, 2017 at 5:55 pm #794998Hi,
We increased the php memory limit to 256M and we disabled all plugins. The result is the same. The Avia Layout Builder is not appearing. When we use the Google Inspector tools, We can see that the Avia Layout Builder is being displayed as the Avia-Bulider-Hidden class.
May 17, 2017 at 11:22 pm #795148Hi,
Okay I see. I have requested assistance from my teammates to see if we can get this figured out.
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonMay 17, 2017 at 11:23 pm #795149I appreciate that. Thank you.
May 18, 2017 at 6:00 am #795245Hey!
I have checked it and I couldn’t see any js errors in the console. Can you give us ftp access? (the one you gave before doesn’t work) so we can try to debug it. Also give us permission to deactivate any plugins (for few minutes) so we can try to isolate the theme.
Cheers!
NikkoMay 18, 2017 at 4:42 pm #796009I have provided you with the credentials. I verified the login using “Fetch” ftp client.
You may deactivate the plugins for a few minutes but please don’t leave Wordfence or Mail deactivated for very long.Thank you for your assistance.
May 19, 2017 at 8:23 pm #796739Hi,
I am using filezilla and tried to ftp, but I could not access it, I am getting this error (private content).
Best regards,
NikkoMay 19, 2017 at 11:53 pm #796851We were able to connect using those credentials using Filezilla. Make sure you using SFTP or SSH.
May 22, 2017 at 10:07 am #797510Hi,
Thanks it works when using sftp. It does show some js errors earlier when trying to update a page and flushing the cache which shows white screen and a letter b, had fixed it by using transient cleaner and flushing out cache. I still can’t resolve the lost Avia Layout Editor. I’ll ask my teammates to have a look at this one, as I can’t find anything that’s causing the issue.
Best regards,
NikkoMay 22, 2017 at 5:51 pm #797823Hi,
I tried re-updating WordPress via FTP however i am getting permission error and files are not being overwritten. Can you please contact your hosting provider in case they have any insight what could be causing the issue?
Best regards,
YigitMay 22, 2017 at 7:19 pm #797871You need to be using SFTP or SSH. I appreciate the help with this issue, but I feel I’m doing more of the problem solving for your end then Kriesi is for us.
May 22, 2017 at 9:09 pm #797911Hey!
We are sorry for the inconvenience! Since this is not an usual issue, it is taking some time for us to figure out.
I am able to connect via SFTP, however when i try to overwrite WordPress core files in order to re-update it, i am getting permission error. I think the issue is related to WordPress files or server configuration. That is why i thought it would be better if we knew if your hosting providers had any ideas :)
Regards,
Yigit -
