Hi,
While using the column shortcodes in the Advanced Layout Editor, I can’t seem to type inside of them. And when I switch back to Default Editor, it goes completely blank. So I lose all of my content. Also, I noticed that there is no “Color Selection” shortcode option in the Default Editor. There also isn’t an “Advanced Layerslider” shortcode option in the Default Editor.
Anyway, Could you let me know how I’m supposed to input my content in the column shortcodes when in Advanced Layout Editor?
Thanks,
Hayley
August 27, 2013 at 7:46 am #137721It seems now that the shortcodes used in the Default Editor are breaking the css. Even the LayerSlider shortcode is not working when in Default editor. But when I use the Advanced Editor to implement the LayerSlider, it does work fine.
So it seems as though something is going wrong with the shortcodes in default editor. But I can’t rely on advanced editor since I can’t input text in the columns.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks…I really do like this theme!
August 27, 2013 at 8:19 am #137722The column shortcodes are just “containers” for other shortcodes. If you want to insert text content, images, etc. you need to select another element and drag’n’drop it into the columns area. Eg you can use a textblock element to add text to an existing column. I made a short video to demonstrate the workflow: http://www.screenr.com/N9OH
August 27, 2013 at 6:00 pm #137723Hello. I am having a similar issue when attempting to ad text inside the Advanced Editor. While I can input the appropriate formatting and content elements, once I open the field to add text I am able to see a blinking cursor, but when typing I get no response. Can you provide any guidance?

August 27, 2013 at 10:56 pm #137724Thanks Dude. That info helps a lot!
Do you have any ideas why adding shortcodes manually in the Default Editor is breaking the CSS? And why the work I did in the Advanced Editor disappears when I switch back to Default?
August 27, 2013 at 10:58 pm #137725Sorry, one more question…
Can I add columns in the Tabs advanced editor? I don’t see that as a shortcode option when in the Tabs editor.
August 28, 2013 at 4:22 pm #137726Hi htarrant,
The advanced layout editor and the visual editor can’t be used together. One completely replaces the other when you save the page.
Some shortcodes will not worked when stacked right now. So you can use buttons and things inside a tabs shortcode but if you then added a slider or an icon list inside a tab it may start to have issues.
So that is why in the text block there isn’t the full list of shortcodes available right now.
Regards,
Devin
