Hey,
I’ve just updated Enfold and WordPress, and now when I go into a page and try to use the Advanced Layout Editor it’s blank. I can see the default editor OK, but the advanced layout editor gives me a spinning circle in the content box and then nothing. I’ve tried editing a current page, and creating a new page…I’ve also tried it in both Safari and Chrome to see if that was causing the problem.
Please help – this is stopping me making some urgent changes to my site, as I can’t do a lot without access to the Enfold design tools!!!
Thanks,
Claire
January 17, 2014 at 12:57 pm #211187Hey ClaireBrummell!
Please try deactivating all active plugins and check if that helps. Then you can activate them one by one to find the culprit
Cheers!
YigitFebruary 11, 2014 at 11:29 pm #222425I have the same problem with a new wordpress and Enfold installation with sample content uploaded. There are no active plugins. The Default editor only shows red underlining with no text (unless it is selected then it is visible as white characters. The rotating circle continues without end.
Please can someone help me get started on this site!
Thanks

Can you please give us a link to the website? Did you deactivate all active plugins?
Cheers!
IsmaelFebruary 12, 2014 at 4:45 pm #222870There are no active plugins – i didn’t get to the point of installing any. The website is http://www.euromondiale.co.uk.
I have reinstalled wordpress and enfold three times following the instructions accurately I believe. The website shows your sample content but I can’t edit it on any page. Thanks,

February 12, 2014 at 9:38 pm #223056Hi!
It seems like you are using version 1.3.1 which is very old. Please update the theme to the latest version 2.5.1 via FTP and make sure you are using WordPress version 3.8.1 as well
For a quick guide on updating your theme take a look at this video on updating the Enfold theme via FTP: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750Cheers!

@juliefalholt Please try deactivating all active plugins and flush browser cache and check if that helps. If not and if you do not mind, please create a temporary admin login and post it here privately, so we can take a lookBest regards,

Thank you for the login details.
I checked the website on Chrome Windows 8 and the Advance Layout Builder is there. Please remove browser cache then reload the page. If possible, test it on another browser or computer.

IsmaelMay 20, 2014 at 10:38 pm #267639I too have the same problem. I have everything updated, no plugins installed and have tried on 3 separate browsers. All my type shows up in white, so it is impossible to see unless I highlight the text or turn the “advanced layout editor” off and switch to “text” mode. I am using Google Chrome on a mac. I also tried Firefox and Safari. Cleared the cache in all of the browsers and am still running into the same problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks a bunch!

May 21, 2014 at 8:52 am #267844Hello all, I was having the same issue using Google Chrome on Windows 8, WordPress 3.9.1 and Enfold 2.7. All pages where I had used the advanced layout editor would not load the content, but would just give the spinning image.
I upgraded to Enfold 2.7.1, but it didn’t resolve the issue. As recommended I started deactivating plugins. In the end, the culprit was the “Custom Facebook Feed” version 1.9.8.
I was surprised since I don’t recall seeing any interaction between this plugin and the WordPress editor. Hopefully this post will help any others with this plugin and issue.
Thanks for the terrific theme and the excellent advanced editor.

September 26, 2014 at 11:10 am #325506Hi,
I am facing the same issue: Updated to Enfold 2.9.2 and all plugins, then updated WP to 4.0. Pages with Layout Builder load and load, but the AVLB does not appear. It happens with all plugins active or not, so does not seem to be any hazzle with plugins. Same applies to portfolio items, loading wheel keeps spinning, no content whatsoever is in reach to edit.
When trying do set up a new page or portfolio item, neither Layout builder nor standard editor are working.
Moreover, e.g. homepage`s permalink changed to an event title, somewhat like http://www.musikzentrale.net/jazz-sonntag-auf-der-landesgartenschau-mit-alltid2-und-michael-diehl – which is really strange and causes our Google ranking and visits to drop.
To make things even more weird, on writing blog posts, creating events etc., only the text editor shows up, visual editor does not react on clicking.
Any idea on how to solve this is highly appreciated.
Cheers. Sebastian.

@tdproperty Can you post the link to your website please? Make sure that you are using the latest version of Enfold 2.9.2 – http://vimeo.com/67209750
@mirzepapa Do you mind creating a temporary admin login and posting it here privately? Do you mind if we de-activate plugins for testing purposes?Cheers!
YigitSeptember 26, 2014 at 2:21 pm #325590I am having the same problem – the Layout Builder is blank and “frozen”. I am using the latest versions of WP and Enfold and have tried disabling, deleting and re-activating all plug-ins. I only have one SEO plug-in installed now. There seems to be a real issue with this theme at the moment as there are lots of people having the same problem – please help guys!!
