Hi,
i would like to use some options of the advanced layout editor in a content slider. Sadly i only have the default wordpress editor when editing the different slides of the content slider.
Is there an option to build content for a slider with the advanced layout editor? It would be extremly nice if one could use all the options of the advanced layout builder (ok not all but the important ones like columns, icon lists and boxes, images, and so on) within the slides of a content slider. Guess some options would cause problems within a slider (like the color sections, or sliders within sliders), so those would probably not be available.
To give you an example for the end result one could achieve, you can see the hompeage in the private content. See the “Referenzen” part.
To achieve the endresult, i built a new page with 1/4 column and 3/4 column, and copied all the necessary html code into the default wordpress editor of the slides in the content slider.
This is not really a simple way to do it. And i am also not sure if it is “update safe”, because it is static content.
I also tried to achieve the result by creating portfolio entries and adding them to a portfolio slider, but the portfolio slider would not show the whole content of the portfolio entry, but only a preview.
So… I am really looking forward to your answer. Would be very nice if in future there will be an option for that added. Of maybe I have overseen an option how to achieve this easier.
Thanks a lot :)

I’m not sure if it would work but if you enable debug mode in order to see builder shortcodes, then you could copy the shortcodes you need into the slider: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/

i just tried it and it seems to work. Its at least kind of a workaround which is easier to handle than copying the final html code :D I accidently tried to use a color section, too. If you do so that crashes the layout and the slider. So not all elements are working. But columns, texts and pictures do :)
But still it would be a nice feature if one could use the advanced layout builder within a content slider, or the tabs element and other elements which offer a editor.
Thank you for your help so far. Would be cool if its possible to open a feature request for that, cause its a feature i’ve been missing very often till now :D
Best regards,

Thanks for the feedback, we’re always trying to improved the builder but nesting can be very difficult unfortunately. Hopefully we will manage to develop this feature at some point in the future.
Please let us know if you should need any further help on the topic or if we can close it.

yep you can close that case. I really would appreciate if you find a solution to nest the builder :) Would be pretty cool!
Best regards
