    Hi,
    I’ve tried to push a little bit the Advanced Layout Editor (ALE) to its limits placing both a Google maps iframe and a contact form in tabs, which actually used to work fine but eventually broke down both the front-end page layout as well as the ALE in the back-end (see attached pictures)
    Worst, switching back to Default Editor (DE) shows nothing, no code, no nothing.
    Erasing and then recreating the page is not an option. The page id would be required by any page, module (WPML), or menu referencing it.
    I am in a dead end: impossible to erase or to modify any page content.
    How to reset the page content to blank?
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Could you try to enable debug mode to see if you can erase the shortcodes? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/

    Problem solved.
    Anyway, an “erase evertything” or “reset to blank” button might prove to be usefull when the ALE messes up.

    Hi Gilles,

    Great, glad you got it working. That might be something we could implement yes, though my guess is that more inexperienced users would hit that by mistake and complain about it’s presence :-)

    Hi Rikard,
    You’re right.
    That’s why rather a bouble checking process would be needed or the button should be shown only if asked to.
    You see once any page layout has completeley broken down, moreover, if it messed up the ALE, usually because of direct php or html code in ALE elements, it’s hard or quite impossible to go backward.

    We will consider implementing that, though debug mode is a way for users like yourself go get that type of functionality anyway.
