I’ve updated my client’s site but the advanced layout editor doesn’t seem to be responding. I’ve made edits to a post but after making an edit in a textbox or special heading and clicking SAVE … the window doesn’t close and after hitting UPDATE the change doesn’t stick. Please help.

    Hey jordannick,

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Best regards,
    Yigit

Thanks Victoria – that’s strange as the client has been using the Ecwid Shopping Cart for the past two years without an issue. So theoretically if I remove the Ecwid plugin the issue with the advanced layout editor will be solved?

    Hi,

Sometimes when a new version of WordPress or WooCommerce is released third-party plugins will have a conflict as the code will change and the plugin authors take some time to upgrade their plugins.

To find out exactly which plugin is causing the conflict please follow these steps:

    1. Go to your plugins page > Deactivate all active Plugins
    2. Update WordPress and Enfold to the latest version if you have not.
    3. Make sure all the plugins are updated.
    4. If the problem does not persist when plugins are turned off, activate one plugin at a time and refresh until you find the plugin in conflict.

We await the results of your plugin compatibility test.

    Thanks for your cooperation :)

    Best regards,
    Vinay
