    Hello,

we import products to woocommerce via XML-file (with Webtoffee-Importer). But its not possible to activate the Advanced-Layout-Builder.
I can activate the builder in the backend and after saving the ALB is deactivated. Any ideas what to do?

on performance – “Disabling Of Template Builder Elements” – what option do you use there?

    Hi,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

We can reproduce the issue but we are not yet sure why it is happening. The product meta info _avialayoutbuilder_active is correctly set to “active”, so it should not switch back to the default editor after updating. Is it working properly when you create a new product from scratch?

Please try to deactivate the plugins, then activate them one at a time just to check if one of the extensions is causing the issue.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

creation of products from the scratch works and the ALB works too.
I did deactivate all relevant plugins, but my imported producs won´t use the ALB.
Our first successful imports uses ENFOLD 4.9. Does anything changes in the ALB code after the upgrade to 5.4?

After deletion of the products the import works and the layout builder too. Very strange…

    Hi Guys,

after updating to WordPress 6.2 the import does not work correctly.
No I have the same problem that the Advanced Layout Builder won´t work. If I open a product in the backend I can switch to ALB, after saving the ALB is gone.
Could you check this please? In my staging system the import works with WordPress 6.0.x. SO it should be a combination of Enfold and the new WP version.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. Are the answers you provided earlier still valid? I’m referring to if it works if you create a product from scratch for example? If that is the case, then the problem is likely the method you are using to import your products. Maybe you could try some other method to see if that works better?

If I import in an older version of wordpress the import works and the advanced layout builder. If I import into 6.2 it does not work. So it must be a relation between the new version and enfold. The import works and set the active flag correct, so I think it must be a problem with the theme.

    Hi,

Debugging third party import solutions would be out of scope of theme support unfortunately. I would recommend that you try using a different solution for importing your content. You could import the development database for example, then use search/replace in order to replace URLs. It’s very simple if you should opt for a solution like WP CLI.

Ok, I understand that. I did the debugging for myself:
If I import the product and set the meta attribute {meta:_avialayoutbuilder_active} then the ALB is broken. If I do not set the attribute I can activate the ALB manually. So whats wrong with this meta attribute? Does anything change?

    #1404141

    Hi,

I’m not a 100% about that to be honest with you, but if you select the option which works, then the layout builder will stay active once you have selected it and saved the page, right? I think that would be your best option to be honest with you. If you need further clarification, then I can check this further with our developers.

One question: What changes are made in the database if I activate the ALB? Is this only the flag _aviaLayoutBuilder_active in the database in the postmeta table? Or is it _avialayoutBuilder_active (with small L)?

    Hi donillo,

I’ve asked our developers about your question, please reply to this thread so that it gets added back to our support queue.

    Hi dondillo,

According to our developers, these instances need to be set or changed:

    _aviaLayoutBuilder_active, _avia_sc_parser_state, _av_css_styles, _aviaLayoutBuilderCleanData, _avia_builder_shortcode_tree, _av_alb_posts_elements_state, _av_el_mgr_version

    Regards,
    Rikard

OK, thanks after deletion of all of these fields the import works again…. very strange.

I´ll do more tests this weekend. But did anything change in the code through the WP update to 6.2?

    #1404532

    Hi,

I’m not sure what you are referring to, but we don’t have control over anything which is included in WordPress core.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
