I created a page and saved. I went back in to edit and the advanced layout builder will not display or load. It shows the loading icon, but the layout elements will not load.
I created the Contact Us page prior to creating these two. It loads fine. I created Hunting in South Fork, next. After creating the text, I added a full width Easy Slider and the publish and preview buttons grayed out and I could not update. I assumed WordFence needed to be modified to Learning Mode, had another window open and changed it there. The page would not let me update, still, so I created a new one. It allowed me to save, but now I still cannot edit.
Thinking it might be a cache issue, I tried to load it in a different browser (Chrome) and it won’t load there either.
1. I’ve turned off all plugins. They are still off.
2. WP, Enfold, and plugins are all updated.
2. I recreated a new page, with the same problem.
3. Old pages prior to updates load fine.
4. Created you a login.
5. Tried initially in Firefox.
6. Tried again in Chrome.
7. I’m on a Mac OSX.
8. I also tried adding the jquery code in your ‘update to wordpress 4.5 please read this post’ notice. Didn’t fix, so I deleted.
9. Reset Wordfence to learning mode. The two pages in question:
Hunting and Fishing in South Fork

June 18, 2016 at 1:47 pm #650159Still not working. But I’m turning the plugins back on. I left them off for about 8 hours in case someone actually checked or responded.
June 18, 2016 at 10:50 pm #650301Anybody?
June 20, 2016 at 4:03 pm #650909I could really use some help here. I’ve done all the preliminary checks, and now before I continue creating pages I will not be able to edit, I need some support. Is there anyone with that capability willing to jump in and at least take a look?
June 20, 2016 at 6:54 pm #651013Hey!
Problem on your installation seems to be wp-admin/admin-ajax.php file as well. I created a private test page and it does load fine when i remove text block element from your page.
Have you tried re-installing WordPress?Best regards,
YigitJune 20, 2016 at 6:56 pm #651014Someone logged in 3 hours ago, created a test page, and it’s having the same problem. Now what?
I was going to overwrite the Enfold files via FTP, but I’m out of town, sitting in a hotel conference room and can’t remember all the log in info for FTP.
Is there anything else that can be done? Or do you know what the problem is? I need to finish the site and send to customer for final editing, but don’t want to create pages only to have to recreate later if I can’t get it fixed.
June 20, 2016 at 6:59 pm #651015Oh, I just saw your post. Reinstalling WordPress? The whole thing, or just the one file? You’re going to make me dig around and find that FTP info, I can tell. :-)
I’ll try it.
June 20, 2016 at 7:27 pm #651038@yigit I reinstalled. And I’m still having the same issue. I thought it may be because it had some leftover code from where I snagged the data off of the Colorado Parks and Wildlife department website, so went in and deleted all of that. And correcting that didn’t fix it either.
June 20, 2016 at 8:11 pm #651062I’m now overwriting Enfold via FTP.
June 20, 2016 at 8:44 pm #651076Hi!
BTW, if you want us to get up and provide a reply, please do not post again and again inside a post, cause it gets last in the line and we can not assist at all.
Thanks a lot
Best regards,
BasilisJune 20, 2016 at 8:51 pm #651080Well, I keep posting because you are not responding, and I’m editing the thread as I’m troubleshooting without help. And instead of griping at me for doing so, how about trying to actually add some input that’s helpful. Because otherwise, you’re not helping at all and just aggravating a customer that is patiently waiting for some kind of support.
It’s not like I haven’t done my part in eliminating the small stuff THAT NO ONE DOES AND WASTES YOUR TIME prior to posting initially.
June 20, 2016 at 9:48 pm #651110Hi,
It’s very kind of you to try these things and try to help save our time. Basilis was trying to let you know how the ticket queue works so you will get faster support. Don’t worry we are here to help you with this issue.
Thank you for providing the login credentials I logged into your site and did the exact same steps to check the layout builder but i was not able to reproduce the issue you are facing every page i checked loads up the layout builder fine and let’s me edit the content. For testing purpose I changed the text About to All About on the about page as you see in the screenshot below.
I also crated a new test page and added elements, saved it and went back and edited it a couple of time without any issue.
I believe it is caching issue on your end. Please try to hard refresh by pressing Ctrl + Shift + F5 on your browser or press the F12 key to open chrome dev tools and right click on the refresh button and select “Empty Cache and Hard Reload” and review the site again.

June 21, 2016 at 3:46 am #651200No. I was very specific about the pages that do not work. Hunting in South Fork and Hunting and Fishing in South Fork. It’s NOT a caching issue. I reproduced it on two different computers. On networks 250 miles apart. Yigit produced a page on my site and had the exact same problem.
I have over written both Enfold and WordPress about 5 hours ago, then drove from Austin to North Texas. I have not logged on yet to see if overwriting and time has corrected the problem. But testing the About Us page will not produce the problem. Both hunting pages and the test page Yigit created are the ones with the issue.
June 21, 2016 at 6:47 pm #651639There is something within the text box on that page that is causing the bug. It’s definitely a BUG. I went back several revisions before there was content in the text box. It came back and would let me edit. I added the content back in, edited to make sure there was no weird code or stray html or css and updated. It saved it, but again will not allow me to edit or reload the elements after I hit update.
I rechecked again to see if there was odd coding in the table within the text box (I suspect that is probably where the bug is being thrown) and there was an extra opening <td> and a missing <td></td> further down the table. I corrected that, and continue to have issues.
Thinking it might be the table, I went back in, deleted the one column layout element and the text box element, added a new one of each, pasted the text – minus the table – to see if it would display after update. It did not. It still won’t load.
I then started adding content one line at a time. It allowed the headline “Hunting in South Fork”.
I added the next paragraph and removed the link, thinking perhaps that was the problem.Aspen Ridge Cabins serves as a great basecamp for three big-game hunting units offering trophy elk and deer: Units 76, 79 and 80. These are draw-only units, so check with the Colorado Division of Wildlife for limited license application deadlines (no over-the-counter elk or deer licenses are available for these units).
But that did not fix the issue.
Next, I used the headline and inserted Lorum Ipsum text. It permitted me to save, AND allowed me to edit.
Then I added content a few words at a time. It stopped working when I added
<strong>Units 76, 79 and 80</strong>
.Thinking I was on to something, I grabbed the whole paragraph above and removed all the STRONG elements from the text. And now…IT WORKS.
So THEN I readded the entire content of the page that has been in there, removed all STRONG elements and it loads fine.
THERE IS SOMETHING AMISS WITH THE STRONG/BOLD ELEMENT.
June 21, 2016 at 9:54 pm #651744Hey!
As i understand you are trying to add a strong tag correct?
For testing purpose i edited the only page about hunting and fishing and I tried to add a strong tag and it works perfectly fine.
I hope you had a good drive :)

June 21, 2016 at 10:09 pm #651752There were strong tags in the first paragraph, starting with Units 76, 79 and 80. It failed to load until I removed them. The text box is buggy. Another user here could not type the letters (all caps) CD in his and it was doing the same thing and I replicated that on the temp page you made.
I am not necessarily trying to make anything bold. It’s a long thread with a lot of issues that were corrected when I removed the bold. You say you can now add bold. Great. I troubleshooted all morning. There’s a bug in that text box. I just rebolded Units 76, 79 and 80 and no over the counter elk or deer licenses are available for these units and it won’t load for me to edit. Again.
I find it very displeasing that I’m going through major hurdles to troubleshoot an issue and you guys keep coming on here to with quick little responses, but are not reading the very detailed steps I’ve taken to eliminate cause and effect, to find the source of the problem, to finally reach a substantiated reason for the problem to have occurred, and not only me, but multiple others, and the only responses are not full investigations of the issue. There is a bug in this text box. I can replicate it. Others are having the same problem. I’ve overwritten all the original files for both WordPress and Enfold, and can still replicate the problem. I’ve turned off all the plugins. I’ve done my share of this investigation. I’m trying to be as helpful and concise as I can and you’re giving this issues less than 5 minutes of your time and brushing it off.
It’s a problem. It’s a bug.

June 24, 2016 at 5:08 pm #653092Hi,
can you check with a default WordPress theme please? if you get similar results or not?
I can’t reproduce the issue, as strong tag do work fine for me. It’s a default WP function.
I think a screencast could help us to make things clear for us about the problem you’re mentioning.

July 13, 2016 at 11:14 am #660276Hi,
Please try following the suggestions listed here: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/my-enfold-layout-builder-is-not-loading-properly/. Please open a new thread next time as threads tend to get messy and hard to follow for moderators.
Thanks,
