Hi,
I’m using “fullwidth easy slider” with looped video slide (as a background). When using “fullwidth easy slider”, I feel I don’t have enough options for creating the captions I want. I really like what “Advanced Layer Slider” has to offer in terms of 2D/3D slide creation. Is there a way to have video (background) slide in “Advanced Layer Slider”?
Thanks!February 24, 2016 at 9:15 am #588240Hey Ivne!
Fullwidth easy slider is designer to create quick sliders easily and quickly. Advanced options are only available in layer slider.
Please feel free to request such feature here – https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/
Cheers!

I can only find the way to have picture as a background, not video.February 27, 2016 at 4:00 am #590110Hey!
You can embed videos or HTML5 videos from the HTML/Video Audio tab as seen in the below screenshot in the Layer Slider
Cheers!
Vinay KashyapFebruary 28, 2016 at 3:19 pm #590433It doesn’t quite solve my problem. You offer me to insert video as a layer. I would like it to be a background. Would that be possible ?
Any suggestions are appreciated! Many thanks!
The screenshot below has 3 layers (imac, macbook, ipad) and B&W abstract background (image). I would like to substitute this abstract image with the looped video.- This reply was modified 8 years, 10 months ago by Ivne.

Thank you for the info. Unfortunately, that’s not possible with the layer slider. Use the color section’s background option instead.

IsmaelMarch 2, 2016 at 10:43 am #591998Thanks for your suggestion. My entire idea of working with Advanced Layer Slider was due to having flexibility and variety when working with captions. The only option for working with captions and video background by using Color Section I found is Headline Rotator, but it’s very limited in its abilities. Should I use some other Elements for this ?
– Easy slider doesn’t do the trick for me either, because it’s impossible to use multiple rotating captions with one non-rotating (looped) video slide.
March 5, 2016 at 4:02 am #593612Hey!
In that case you need to hack it a bit…
Use a color section with video background and layer slider with transparent background
In css add position absolute to layerslider so it sits on top of the color section.
It has a limitation you can only use one layerslider and one color section on the page
If it is something you are interested please go ahead and create a page and create a temporary user with ‘administrator’ role and share in private content with permission to deactivate all plugins and add custom code if necessary to help you resolve this issue.

Vinay KashyapMarch 5, 2016 at 12:33 pm #593710Hi Vinay,
Yes, I would definitely be interested in that. How do I create a temporary user ?
Can I just install the theme on sub-domain and after you done transfer it all to “real” domain ?
Please provide some instructions.
Thanks!March 5, 2016 at 7:42 pm #593775Hi!
Please create a new user with administrator role so we can create the new sample page for you in the backend. Share the info in private.
Cheers!
Vinay KashyapMarch 5, 2016 at 8:08 pm #593779Hi Vinay, that kinda was my question. :) How do I create one ?
I work, so to say, in test mode and when the website is finished I want to transfer it to the domain I need. Will it be possible after your “hacking” ?March 6, 2016 at 1:19 pm #593906Info below… thanks!
March 7, 2016 at 6:23 am #594079Hey!
We are working on your ticket please wait while we update the results here soon.we enabled custom class name support
Then setup a color section and added a class “pos-absolute”
Added the below css in Quick CSS
.pos-absolute{ position:absolute!important; }
Create a layer slider with transparent background below the color section.
PLEASE NOTE: As mentioned earlier there is a limitation doing it this way. Adding other elements to the page may not fit in well it’s placement may change or it might get the background video. This WORKS best with just color section and layer slider on the page.
Since it is all CSS you can re-produce it easily on new site by following the steps provided
I’m following up with your ticket your other tickets will be answered soon please have patience we do answer a lot of tickets every day… Thank you for your understanding :)
Cheers!

April 15, 2016 at 12:54 pm #614762Hi Vinay,
I have a problem scaling advanced slider with my color section (video background). “100% of browser window height” leaves some empty spaces, custom pixel size does a better job, but in both cases advanced slider and color section (video background)don’t align together. When I change the browser window size it becomes a mess. Color section stays the same size, but everything else decreases.
Thanks for your help!April 18, 2016 at 11:41 am #616300Hi!
I can’t see any mess. Looks good to me. Can you highlight using screenshots please? so we can clearly see what you mean? use imgur.com or dropbox.
Best regards,
AndyApril 18, 2016 at 6:05 pm #616718The section which comes after the slider overlays with the color section. Here are a few versions of it:

sorry, but I can’t see any issue on the screenshot you have provided. What’s your point exactly? can you highlight please?

AndyApril 20, 2016 at 7:25 pm #618610I would like advanced slider behave the same way, scale and be the same size as my color section (video background), resize together depending on the browser window dimensions and viewer’s device.
Circled in red spot is a part of different sections. It’s not supposed to get to the color section (video background). However, they it’s sliding over to the color section (video background) while the advanced slider section gets reduced in size. Color section (video background) behaves differently and scales automatically depending of the size of browser window.April 25, 2016 at 10:11 am #621125Hi!
quite difficult to imagine what you want to change. Can you provide us a mockup showing the results you want to achieve, please? not sure if it will be possible though and it sounds to me as if you would need to hire a freelance developer for this job.

AndyApril 25, 2016 at 10:59 am #621147Hi Andy,
Did you see the post #594079 by Vinay ? He did some adjustments for me for combining Color Section and Advanced Layer Slider. Since both are supposed to be one section, I want them to have the same dimensions and scaling. That’s all. I don’t want any other sections but Advanced Layer Slider to appear on Color Section.April 25, 2016 at 11:06 am #621153Hey!
the theme elements in question are not supposed to work this way and it would require a huge amount of time and customization of the theme and that is why you would need to hire a freelance developer for this job.
Best regards,
AndyApril 25, 2016 at 11:11 am #621156Well…Vinay was very kind and did this. I created my design based on his customization. Spent about two months working with it. Now you’re kinda saying all these and Vinay’s work was pointless. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not blaming anyone – just sad.
April 25, 2016 at 1:06 pm #621247Hey!
you can keep Vinay’s customization, because it will be a good starting point for the freelancer and you will spend less money because of it.
Regards,
Andy -
