    All of my pages are build using the Advanced Layer Editor. When I first purchased this theme, I saw somewhere that I should not use the ALE for both pages and posts, but this does not really make any sense to me.

    Is there any reason for me to NOT use the ALE on Blog posts? I do have about 75 that don’t use it . . . if I do start using it, would I need to go back and edit those posts to use the ALE as well?

    Hey gatehealing,
    Thanks for your question, the reason the Advanced Layout Builder (ALB) is not recommended for posts is because some features are not automatically added to these posts, such as the featured image, the social share box, the related posts, and the comment form, also the excerpt must be manually added in the manual excerpt field.

    This is by design so that you would have full control of the layout, you can manually add these with the ALB elements, so if you don’t mind adding these manually using the ALB for posts is fine.

    Is there any way to enable those features so that I don’t have to use the magic wand to get the element box, only to have to completely delete the code if I need to change something, then preview, then completely delete the code again to make changes by using the magic wand, etc.

    I like the ALB simplicity, but I also like the featured image, excerpt feature, etc. . . seems like it might be nice to have access to both.

    Hi,
    Unfortunately not, if you want to use ALB elements in your posts it may be easier for you to use the ALB editor and simply add your featured image & comment form manually using the elements, than the other way around where you would use the magic wand.

    Looks like in ALB for posts the WordPress Preview of changes does not work either.

    Nevermind. . . it worked, just took 45 seconds
