Hello
I have recently updated an older site from Flagship to Enfold, using a child theme. I installed v 3.0.2 and updated to WP 4 but the control panel will not effect any changes. I have some temporary styling in the child theme to help it along but there are many elements that need to be done through the cpanel. I read on another forum that Akismet was causing a problem so I disabled that but it didn’t make a difference. I also read about deleting enfold.css but that file name does not exist. I’m sending access through the private field. Please help, this site is live and the client needs me to make lots of changes! Thank you.

Thank you for using Enfold
The enfold.css file holds important css codes and it is located on wp-content > uploads > dynamic_avia folder. Which options are not working?
Best regards,
IsmaelNovember 3, 2014 at 7:53 pm #345481Thanks for the reply – I am trying to find the other post about deleting enfold.css and your search isn’t finding the post (it did before). With that said, can I safely delete that file to see if it will resolve this issue?
Nothing is working in the admin panel options, eg, I set the logo to left and the menu to below, and it says that changes are made but they are not. I rty ot modify the copyright and nothing changes – every section of the admin panel is not working; please advise. Thanks again.

Yes, you can safely delete the file then regenerate it by toggling any of the settings on the theme options panel. Please make sure that folder and file permissions are correct. Deactivate all plugins then test the theme options again.

IsmaelNovember 5, 2014 at 11:32 pm #346843Sorry, it’s still not working – I noticed that there was both an ‘enfold.css’ as well as another css file in the dynamic_avia folder with the name of the child theme, ie – southern_springs_by_park_homes_-_child_theme_to_enfold.css. I deleted both and turned off all of the plugins and reset the permalinks and tried and the options panel is still not making the changes. Instead of regenerating an enfold.css file it’s regenerating one for the child theme. I’d be most appreciative if you could please go into the admin and have a look. Thank you, again, but the client is starting to get impatient and I’d really like to get this fixed as soon as possible.
November 6, 2014 at 8:15 pm #347326Hi!
The root of the issue is your child theme name, it’s too long and the server can’t handle it. I’ve created a test child theme called “Southern Springs” and it works fine.
