AddThis Smart Layers

I use AddThis Smart Layers with quite a few of my sites, but it has problems with Enfold. Recently I opened a trouble ticket with them to fix the issue: http://support.addthis.com/customer/portal/questions/6824212

Upon deep analysis, their technical staff states:

Hi Chris,

Do you know how the jQuery script is normally added to your page? Is it built into your theme or have you manually added it to your site? The reason why the errors are appearing is that this script isn’t being added to your page:

I have no clue why this script would be removed with our plugin enabled, I’ve never encountered an issue with our plugin removing scripts in the past (not sure how it could do that). Would you be able to manually add the jQuery script to one of your templates to ensure it’s being loaded?

Would you guys be able to weigh in on this at all, or perhaps point me at a way to manually include the library and fix this issue?
