We are needing to add the Social Media Icon Houzz to (3) of our clients websites… is there a simple way to do this? We have looked at other topics but most are using “child themes” we are not!

The best way to do it is by using a child theme since customizations on the parent theme (enfold) will be lost during the update.

NikkoJune 16, 2017 at 12:49 am #808765I’m not finding a working solution found in similar topics that have since been closed.
I am also trying to add the Houzz icon at the top right Social Media Icons area.
I’ve followed the notes found in this forum and tried 3 different suggestions but to no avail.
Link here: https://bpatest.com/hudsonstreetdesign will not show the Houzz icon even though I’ve uploaded both the Fontello zip and the Brandico zip, as well as added suggested code to both child theme css and functions files.
The Houzz icon is selected in the backend, but either shows nothing, or shows the pencil icon instead.
Please advise, thank you!June 16, 2017 at 7:43 am #808854Hi,
May we please have admin access to your website so we can take a look?

June 17, 2017 at 8:07 am #809221Hi!
It seems that the icon code was wrong. The correct icon code is
uf32a
instead ofuF27C
. I’ve updated your functions.php. If you check your website now, the Houzz icon should be there. :)Please let us know if you need further help.

SarahJune 19, 2017 at 6:12 pm #809895Thank you Sarah. How can I get a matching background color affect similar to the other social icons? Right now when you mouse over the Houzz icon, the icon blends in with the white background.
Thanks again.
June 20, 2017 at 6:25 am #810179Hi,
Please try the following in Quick CSS under Enfold->General Styling:
.social_bookmarks_houzz a:hover { background:#ddd !important; }
