I tried inserting the shortcode into a page and the slider doesn’t show up. Please advise. Thanks. My URL is http://www.headmenco.com
December 5, 2013 at 6:43 pm #196727The slider there was added through the page editor. I can’t get the demo sliders to show up.
December 6, 2013 at 7:23 am #196881Hi!
The shortcode is disabled when using the Layer Slider. You need to add the slider using the Advance Layout Builder.

December 7, 2013 at 3:54 am #197220December 7, 2013 at 4:59 am #197250That’s because I inserted it using the page editor. I want to add it via LayerSlide WP? I see some sample sliders in there that I would like to insert, and I want to learn how to make sliders like those. It seems like I can’t do the same thing with the specialized page editor.
December 7, 2013 at 5:31 pm #197317Hi!
What sample sliders are you referring to? if they are LayerSlider sliders, you’d need to re-create them using LayerSlider. The only thing you do in the actual Page is invoking them.

JosueDecember 9, 2013 at 6:36 pm #198143I’m referring to the sliders in this screenshot.

If possible, I just want to use the default WordPress editor to add the sliders in.
December 9, 2013 at 6:45 pm #198146Hey!
No, that isn’t possible as the theme needs to use some special wrappers to add in the LayerSlider sliders for use with the theme. So the only way to add in LayerSlider slideshows is with the advanced layout builder.

DevinDecember 9, 2013 at 7:03 pm #198151Ok, how can I do the customization that you guys did? It looks like this slider editor has way more options:

This is what the slider looks like when I use the advanced editor. It’s just basic.

I figured since you made a sample slider in the LayerSlider section, there would be a way to add the slider via shortcode. Is there not?
December 10, 2013 at 4:12 am #198377Hi!
The LayerSlider shortcode is disabled. You can enable it, add this on functions.php:
add_theme_support( 'deactivate_layerslider' );
This will disable the LayerSlider plugin included in the theme. Buy the LayerSlider plugin then install it as a standalone plugin. You’ll be able to use the shortcode then.

IsmaelDecember 10, 2013 at 4:26 am #198384Ok, is this the correct slider?
http://codecanyon.net/item/layerslider-responsive-wordpress-slider-plugin-/1362246?ref=kreaturaAlso, is there a way to style the slider you have in the LayerSlider plugin section? Or am I just limited to basic slider functionality? You guys have the flashy slider on your demo website.
December 10, 2013 at 5:44 am #198416Hey!
Yes, that is the plugin. You need to experiment with the LayerSlider to achieve different effects. Watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZY9SxVyugx4
