    I am looking to add an additional 3 footer widget area’s (in columns 33%) under the current footer widget area. What is the best practice for this in a child theme?

    Hey sublime5o!

    All you would need to do is add some more widgets to the existing footer widget areas. If you want to move them around a bit or change their margins, etc etc, then send us a link to your page when your done setting them up and we’ll take a look.

    Thanks for the response but I need an entirely different widget area and not just adding more wigets to the current area. I need this so when this is responsive it stacks correctly. I can handle all the css but adding this piece I wanted to do it correctly with the enfold theme. Thanks

    Hey!

    That’s going to take a lot of time and code and would have to be considered custom work. It would be best to hire a freelancer to help you out with this customization.

    Ok. Thanks for the suggestion. I was hoping you could point me in the correct direction for implementing this within YOUR theme.

    You can add custom code to footer.php to achieve what you’re trying to do.
