Hi,
I’m looking to improve the search functionality of my website and I was interested in adding google custom site search or SearchWP.
How can I integrate CCS into my site, both in the ajax search and the standard search results page?
Thank you!
Chris
Hey Chris!
Please see – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/use-searchwp-instead-of-the-standard-search/ also http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/use-relevanssi-in-search-instead-of-the-default-search/
Best regards,
Yigit
Hi Yigit,
I was actually interested in using the Google Custom Site Search. Can that be done?
Chris
Hey Chris!
Please follow instructions here – http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-google-search-in-a-wordpress-site/
You can also try using this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-search-cse/
Best regards,
Yigit
Hi Yigit!
Thank you for this. Is there any way to integrate it into the search button in the menu on enfold?
Chris
Hi Chris!
Unfortunately i don’t think that’s possible because the search in the menu uses a very different approach (you can disable it if you want in the theme options).
Cheers!
Josue
Okay, even if I were to not need the AJAX one?
Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the search engine overall?
Or what other search engine option would be best?
Hey!
I’d suggest using SearchWP or Relevanssi as their implementation is already documented:
http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/use-relevanssi-in-search-instead-of-the-default-search/

Best regards,
Josue
Where do you put that code? Functions.php?
