Hi, I have an existing website that I want to add a child theme to. As far as I know there hasn’t been any edits or changes to the parent PHP files, just the settings. I exported the theme’s settings, uploaded and activated the child theme and then imported the original settings back in, but not everything is taking effect. My buttons revert to green instead of blue (it’s that original theme default green). When I look in all the general settings or advanced settings, there is no green at all – it looks like all the color settings updated on the backend but the site is defaulting to those green buttons (along with a few other odd changes). I am viewing this in an incognito browser and have even opened it up an a different browser and cleared my history, so I’m thinking it’s not a cache issue. I can provide a link if you need it, but I have switched back to the parent theme for the moment because I don’t want to leave their site live with those errors.

    Hey empiread201,

Try to toggle one of the theme settings then save again. If that doesn’t work then we will have to be able to see the problem for ourselves.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
