I’m a new Enfold user, creating a new site for our insurance brokerage. I need three buttons across the page under the main full width slider, one each for small, medium, and large business services. That’s the easy part. I’ve put the buttons inside 1/3 width layout boxes so the buttons are distributed evenly across the page.
But then each button needs either a mouse-over dropdown menu or click popup menu that would contain three options for group benefits, HR consulting, and business insurance for that size business group. Thus . . .
SMALL BUSINESS SERVICES
–Group Benefits
–HR Consulting
–Business InsuranceI’m not seeing anything available for creating this or any popup or dropdown menu for a button or any other element. There’s a full width submenu content element, but that seems to be only what it says–full page width. I can’t drag one into a smaller layout element.
Is there something I’m missing? Or a workaround that would let me do this?
Thanks!
Dave

It would be possible to have the buttons open up a popup and display more options there, https://kriesi.at/support/topic/inline-content-in-magnific-popup/.
Or perhaps the fullwidth submenu element would work better as it has a dropdown menu included in it.

Yes, I see the full width submenu element. But there does not appear to be any way to use it within a smaller layout box (in this case, 1/3) or within a color section. When I try to drag it there it just won’t go. My three buttons are within 1/3 boxes, which themselves are within a large color section. I would need a menu to popup for each button and some way to configure the menus.
As for the thread link you include that provides the HTML, I appreciate it, but I don’t know much about HTML and have no idea what the functions.php file is or where it is on my machine. I was hoping for something that is executable through the layout builder.
Is there some way to do that with this HTML you have provided?
Can this HTML be added to the Quick CSS window under general styling for the theme?
Thanks.

Well the link I provided is for adding content to a magnific popup. If your wanting an actual drop down menu then that it going to take a lot of time and code and would have to be considered custom work.
I suppose another way to get a menu to display in a 1/3 would be to use the “Widget Area” element and drag a “Custom Menu” widget to the sidebar that you use.
Cheers!
ElliottDecember 29, 2015 at 3:44 pm #558110Thanks, Elliott . . . I’m first going to investigate what other options are possible within the currently available tools. I think tabs or three-across icon lists would do the job, though it might not look quite as clean graphically. We’ll see . . . Thanks for your help!
