    Hi,

    I am trying to achieve something apparently simple with no success:
    On the WORKS page I am using a Portfolio grid. I added some portfolio categories so projects can be filtered by location, type of project, etc.
    Currently the list of portfolio categories is displayed above the grid and works great.
    I need this to be displayed on the sidebar, and one category on top of the other -so it looks like a menu.
    And having the same sorting effect as they have now (filter applies fast, without any change on the rest of the page or loading, and thumbnails reorder with a nice slide effect).
    Is there a way to achieve this?

    Thanks for your patience and the link to your site, but I don’t see a way to detach the sorting element and move it to a sidebar.

    Hi Mike,

    Is there a plugin that can do this?
    I’ve tried adding a sidebar menu with categories but:

    1. Seems to reload the whole thing each time instead of sorting
    2. Can’t add Portfolio Categories (or I cannot find how to) to the menu

    Hi,
    Perhaps there is a similar plugin to the portfolio grid that behaves like this, I have not looked for any. You can’t replace the sort feature with a sidebar menu because the sort items are created by the portfolio grid based on the items and are not real links.
