Add category as a CSS class to "Blog Posts" content element - Support

Hi,

I want to add a custom css class to the blog post element on a page.

I found this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/add-category-as-a-css-class-to-blog-posts-content-element/ but i am using a child theme so i would like to know how to achieve this without editing any core files.

Besides that i also noticed that the categories don’t show up under the post meta although i turned this option on in the theme options under the blog layout. Is that a bug or did i do something wrong?

Hey Rhodo,

Maybe this code is suited better in this case, just add the category as a class.

Add category to blog post grid (display order)

Yes that might work but i am using a child theme. How can i make this happen without altering any core files?

Well, you can copy the file to the child theme and make changes there.
