    Hello, I have active the enfold theme. Αt the same time, Ι have install the child theme (not active). I want to active the child theme as main, but I don’t want to loose my setting in my site.

    How can I do this?

    Hey troupdim,

    After you activate the child theme you can select to import the settings from the parent, please try that out. If it doesn’t apply straight away then try to change a setting and save, then check again.

    Hi troupdim,

    You activate the parent theme, go to the Theme options, export the theme options and then activate the child theme and import the theme options file.

    ok, It’s done. Τhe child theme must be active? In every update of parent theme, the child will remain the same?

    Hi,

    Yes, the child theme will read the parent theme for updates, but the child theme itself will retain your changes.
