The accordion slider on the homepage has suddenly stopped working after upgrades. This happened before, Sept. 26, 2014, after an upgrade to WP 4.0. I can get it to show up and work only by restoring a page version prior to the WP 4.0 upgrade in Sept. 2014. After that upgrade, I cannot edit the page or even clone the page because the slider no longer works.
I will have to redesign a new home page without the slider to be able to edit it.
Please see site at this address: http://novabook.us – This is the restored version of the page and it works.
Also look at: http://http://novabook.us/novabookblog/novabook-test/ – This is simply an unedited clone of the same page, but the images do not show up.
The situation is that I cannot edit the page in the current Enfold/WP environment or the slider will not show the images. I have tried many solution, i.e. reinserting the images etc, to no avail. I had also tried disabling all plugins and enabling them one at a time also, bout that did nothing.
I can redesign a new home page, but I would rather solve this technical issue with the slider so I can edit the existing one.
Please let me know if you can help.
Thank you.

If you create a new page does it display fine then? I would try creating a new page and then add your content in piece by piece to see which area is causing the issue.
Make sure WordPress is updated to the latest version which should currently be 4.1.1.
If your still having trouble then send us a WordPress login and we’ll take a look.

ElliottMarch 11, 2015 at 4:56 am #409657Hi:
I finally got time to try to create some accordion sliders from scratch. Nothing worked to get the slider to display images—I tried many different images in both jpg and png formats. Verified and resaved images in Photoshop and reimported them, etc.
Then I looked at the code in the “web inspector” and it was being written very differently after the Sept. 2014 updates. The image linking was missing for each of 4 images, so obviously the images would not show up. The links were also missing. So, for some reason the Avia Layout Builder was writing the code wrong.
I finally found the bug. In each of the image captions in the accordion slider I had a right angle bracket “>” as a copy element. What must have happened is that after the update the HTML parsing mechanism got more exact and was reading that single bracket as a mistake in the HTML code…so it caused all that followed to be corrupt and not write correctly.
Stupidly simple, but very obscure. It now works fine.
Thank you.
