Dear Guys,
Unfortunately the theme accordion Menu is not working/collapsing on our multisite WP Installation with the latest enfold theme and wordpress version. Everything else works perfectly.
Do you have any Ideas? On any other Browser it’s no problem, except IE (Edge, 8-11). Thus incompatibilities with other plugins shouldn’t be a issue. Thanks for your support and best regards
DanielJune 7, 2016 at 8:49 pm #644349Hey Sh0rty!

June 7, 2016 at 10:51 pm #644405Hi,
I’m unable to inspect the element in question as the site is blocked.
Please re-check and provide us a working link so we can inspect and provide you a viable solution.
However i suspect it is a plugin conflict in your case. To find which plugin is causing the conflict please follow these steps:
1. Go to your plugins page > Deactivate all active Plugins
2. Update WordPress and Enfold to latest version if you have not.
3. Make sure all the plugins are updated.
4. If the problem does not persist when plugins are turned off, activate one plugin at a time and refresh until you find the plugin in conflict. We await the results of your plugin compatibility test.
Thanks for your cooperation :)
Best regards,
VinayJune 13, 2016 at 7:22 pm #647601Dear Vinay,
the following site shouldn’t be blocked for you. The theme and wordpress are the actual versions (enfold: 3.6.1 wp: 4.5.2).
Plugins are all deleted but the problem with the accordion in IE11 and edge still occurs. Can u check back pls?
Attached are the login credentials etc.best regards

DanielJune 16, 2016 at 5:47 am #649003Hi,
We are not sure what is causing the accordion error but we found this in the console:
http://www.googletagmanager.com/gtm.js?id=GTM-PT6758 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
Do you have any idea what could be causing that error?
Best regards,
IsmaelJune 16, 2016 at 4:45 pm #649317Hi Ismael,
I’ve just fixed the google-tagmanager issue as described above, but unfortunately this correction doesn’t fix the accordion-issue.
Do you have any further ideas?best regards
DanielJune 20, 2016 at 4:13 am #650563Hi,
We created a test page with the accordion element and this one is working.
However, we are still not sure why it’s not working on the other page. What if you add another accordion element for the other half of the items?
Best regards,
IsmaelJune 20, 2016 at 9:18 am #650694Hi Ismael,
thanks for your answer, very interesting and confusing that it works on the new page. I’ll check it out and check back, if i find out, what’s causing the dysfunctionality.
best regards

Ok, we’ll keep the thread open for you in case you should need any further help.

RikardJune 21, 2016 at 10:57 am #651382Hi Rikard,
looooool I’ve found the error! but i really don’t understand it.
An E-Mail-link in the format ” (Email address hidden if logged out) ” instead of “mailto: (Email address hidden if logged out) ” causes the dysfunctionality, because when I change Mailadress-link to “mailto:…” the accordion works under IE.
Now everything works fine … weird but test it.best regards
DanielJune 21, 2016 at 4:02 pm #651546Hi,
just want to note that we had the exact same problem – and used the fix above. An email without maito: (Email address hidden if logged out) was the reason the accordination did not work.
Thx for the fix :-)

Great, thanks for sharing that, much appreciated and I’m glad you got it working :-)

RikardMay 13, 2019 at 6:22 pm #1100193Hi Rikard
In my case, this fix does not help unfortunately.
The accordion does not open at all in IE11.I also checked the thread here but I am using the “InPrivate mode” in IE so it is not a caching issue.
Do you have any other ideas what could solve this nasty IE bug?
EDIT: Solved :) The thing which IE11 did not like was that my grid was defined as min-height:100% (the theme element), so I changed it back to “custom value in pixel” and tadaaa it works in IE11. Really really (really) weird, but it works now so I am super glad.
Thanks a lot
MichaelMay 15, 2019 at 5:42 pm #1101139I also added this within the <head> tag. Unfortunately no changes:
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge">
May 16, 2019 at 5:21 am #1101233Hi,
Thanks for the info @michael.
Have you tried adding an IE-specific css fix for that section so that you don’t have to set a custom pixel value?
Something like this should work.
.avia-msie .selector { min-height: 600px !important; }
That should override the minimum height value for IE browsers.
Best regards,
IsmaelMay 16, 2019 at 8:16 am #1101314Thanks for the tip Ismael.
I will leave it like it is for the moment, as I have invested so many hours in IE11 debugging already…
