    Is Enfold “accessibility compliant” (Section 508 compliant)? If not enfold, does Kriesi offer a theme that is?

    I have reviewed the 508 Compliance requirements and 2 things concern me. That the theme be “tagged accessibility-ready”, and that the drop down navigation menus meet the requirements.

    Hey laptophobo!

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    This compliance is based more on how you deliver the content and less to do with the theme that you’re using. For example, if you have an image, you should add an alt text for blind users. For the navigation, try not to create complex menus with dropdowns or hierarchical structure. Make it on point with direct links to pages of the site. For videos, make sure that you add captions to help users with hearing disabilities etc.

    Thanks for the feedback. I do have a list of 508 Compliance requirements, which steers me to the specifics you’ve mentioned. Since there doesn’t seem to be any drawback in using Enfold, I’ll move on this project with that.
