    Hey there,

    I had a few questions regarding the portfolio section. I’m about to load 50+ items and want to make sure I get everything sorted before production.

    Different portfolios
    Is it possible to have two separate portfolios? For example, one portfolio of apples and another one (on another page) of oranges? I know you can set this up with two different pages with two different category portfolio grids — but I’m wondering if somebody is using the left/right navigation — will the apples always run into the oranges? Or is it possible to separate these portfolios completely?

    Tags and Categories
    I’m trying to figure out what tags are for within Enfold. It doesn’t seem to be possible to sort portfolio items by tags. Is it better to simply use categories as tags, and allow these do the sorting? Ideally it would be great to have larger sections (categories) to organize content and then also have tags to do more precision sorting. Just wondering if this is possible. If not, no worries.. I can work with categories alone. I just wanted to make sure before I enter in all my content.

    Organizing Portfolio
    Is the only way to organize a portfolio grid by date posted? Right now it shows the most recent item posted as the first one in the grid. Is there any way to assign numbers to each item and have it sort that way?

    MouseOver on grid and Portfolio item
    Right now the MouseOver on the grid and portfolio item is a light fade with a orange arrow. Is it possible to customize this? I love the approach used on this website. http://www.noisedigital.com/work/ Is it possible to do something similar?

    Darkening the navigation
    I love the right/left navigation element within the portfolio. The only thing is, most people don’t notice it as a light grey arrow. Is it possible change the background of the arrow box to be a dark grey?

    Hey theworldawaits!

    Categories is best for something like Apples/Oranges. You could then later on add Pairs, Plums etc. Beyond that however the portfolio as a whole is one post type so they will still be in the same general type.

    Tags can be used in the new Masonry element that was added in Enfold version 2.4: http://kriesi.at/archives/enfold-version-2-4-fullwidth-masonry-elements

    Grid organization is by date only as far as I know.

    The new Masonry element has a grid option as well and different hover options which make work for you.

    Add this to your Quick CSS in the style tab or the custom.css file in your css folder of the theme files:

    #top .avia-post-nav {
background: #aaa;
background: rgba(0,0,0,0.5);
}

    Modify the values as needed. I’ve upped the rgba transparency to .5 from .1 .
