I’m using godaddy as my host. I installed Enfold on a temporary domain and everything worked perfectly. When I switched it over to the permanent domain I get 502 Bad Gateway errors when I try to update certain pages. I’ll go to the page, make a change, update the change, and when I hit view page I get:
“502 Bad Gateway
The server returned an invalid or incomplete response.”
When I go back and try to edit the page, the default editor is blank, and the Avia Layout Builder just shows a circle spinning clockwise underneath the layout-content-media tabs.I contacted the host and they could not replicate the problem on their company computers, but they were able to recreate it on a computer with an outside line, but could not solve the problem. I saw on another thread that a plugin called ssh sftp updater support had helped other wordpress users (different themes) with the 502 bad gateway. I installed that and it did not help.
The pages continue to stay active without showing updates. The site is: http://staugteam.com/
And the two pages affected so far are:
http://staugteam.com/realtor-reviews-st-augustine/
and
http://staugteam.com/st_augustine_realtors_homes_sold/
Any help would be appreciated!August 19, 2015 at 2:37 pm #490081Hey SeanTheDesighner,
Could you please provide us with a temporary admin login so that we can take a closer look? You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.
Best regards,
RikardAugust 20, 2015 at 12:09 am #490476They are in the private content file. Thank you.
August 21, 2015 at 10:38 am #491234Hi,
I tried updating the first page you listed and got the same error, could you try to enable debug mode to see the shortcode and then simply copy paste the page to a new page to see if that helps? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/
Regards,
RikardAugust 24, 2015 at 5:41 pm #492401I enabled the debug. I pasted the code to a new page. The new page worked, but when I updated it, it gave me the 502 Bad Gateway error again.
Additionally, I rebuild one of the pages affected. It was working fine, then all of a sudden I got a 502 Gateway error on the new rebuilt page. Then the whole site went down with the 502 Bad Gateway for a few moments. When I logged out of the wordpress editor the site came back.
The only differences between the last time I posted here is that I updated the Enfold theme this morning to 3.2.2 (I believe).
This is crazy frustrating! :-) We can have bad days and smile because we used to have bad years!
August 25, 2015 at 9:33 am #492708Hi!
This short article might help you understand the problem: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerrormessage/a/502error.htm
Often, Bad Gateway errors are caused by issues between servers online that you have no control over.
Please ask your hosting provider to create a php info page. We would like to check it.

IsmaelAugust 29, 2015 at 8:34 pm #495366Hi there,
I’ve talked to several techs at the host and they really think it’s an issue with the Avia Layout Builder. They suggested asking if there was anyway the plugin was leaving leftover code in the wordpress site files?August 31, 2015 at 12:57 pm #495753Hi,
I have a hard time believing it’s a problem with the theme since we would have a lot of people experiencing the same problem as you do, but we don’t. As far as I know you are the only one. But if I’m wrong you could try to overwrite the theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account via FTP to see if that helps: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

RikardAugust 31, 2015 at 7:25 pm #496050Hi there again,
I did upload a new version of Enfold last week (about 7 days now) as an update to version 3.2.2. I am using WordPress version 4.3.It’s not every page that’s not working, but three specific pages. Two predated the transfer to the permanent domain on August 18, one was completely new page built after.
The 502 is an error where I am sending a request to a server, and server upstream is bouncing the request back. I assure you I have researched the error … it seems to be a fairly rare error nor does it appear consistently. Like in my case, just certain pages. Sometimes its the host, sometimes its the theme. I don’t know if it is the theme or if it’s the host, I just need someone’s help pinpointing it so I can get it fixed and announce this site to the public. It’s a gorgeous theme and I’d hate to switch to another.
In the private section I’ve included the shortcode for one of the pages that is having trouble. The code was generated by the Avia Layout Builder. Does the code around the creative look correct?
September 1, 2015 at 9:48 am #496334Hey!
Alright. I tried to add the shortcode on one of the page in my installation and stops working. Actually, the shortcode breaks this forum thread, that’s why I transferred the shortcode on pastebin. From the looks of the shorcode length, this page is a bit heavy with videos and other content. Is there any way you can shorten the content? What is the url to the actual page?

October 26, 2015 at 7:28 am #524667Hi!
Please increase the memory limit to at least 256MB. Refer to this link: https://docs.woothemes.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/
As stated on our previous post, this error isn’t something cause by the theme. Please contact your hosting provider.
Cheers!
