I have about 89 instances of this error:
Cannot redeclare av_mailchimp_check() (previously declared in /nas/content/live/abglaw/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/av-helper-mailchimp.php:446) in /nas/content/live/abglaw/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/helper-mailchimp.php on line 449

    how can i fix it?

Same here, updated my theme and site went blank. Turning on debug mode gave this:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare av_mailchimp_check() (previously declared in /www/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/av-helper-mailchimp.php:446) in /www/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/helper-mailchimp.php on line 446

There are many many support threads with this exact same issue. For some inexplicable reason, there is no sticky thread on this and there is no updated version of Enfold which deletes the offending files which create this error. So we see more websites crashing day after day.

You have to delete the current Enfold folder via FTP and then upload the latest version of Enfold via FTP. If you do not delete / rename the Enfold folder, it will not work.

    Good luck.

Thanks goldengate415 for the suggestion. I’ll try that later today or tomorrow.

    I did just that
deleted enfold folder than uploaded latest version by ftp
    ..no change
stil gets the same 500 error
    :(

You may be seeing a cached page…. clear cache and try again… also try from different computer / mobile or using private browsing / incognito mode. If you deleted the old directory and uploaded the new Enfold it should solve based on what the rest of us have been through.

tried incognito and several other computers..it didn’t help
    BUT
I deleted enfold directory again and uploaded older version (3.5.2)
and now everything seems to be back to normal
    so.. thanks!

    #644992

Sorry that didn’t help…. can you do me a huge favor and tell me where I can find 3.5.2 to download?
I am having some major problems and need to revert unless support can fix.

    Thanks!

I simply had it from an old backup that did manually by FTP to my site not too long ago
I would post here a link to a folder in my dropbox but i’m not sure Kriesi will be o.k if that kind of link (that enables people downloading the theme for free) will be hanging around in the forum
..if somebody from Kriesi team will say it’s o.k than i will gladly post here the link

If you can email link to (Email address hidden if logged out) that would be great…thanks much!

    I just did
    hope it helps :)

    #645006

Thank you! I am hoping support can get me running on the new version but if not this is a good fallback…thanks!

(just confirming… 3.5.2 was the final version before 3.6 right?)

    #645010

    you welcome

    #645013

    no..i think there were 3.5.3 and 3.5.4
also there seem to be 3.6.1 now
so 3.6 isn’t the latest anymore

    #645014

you’re right…3.6.1 isn’t in the changelog so I’m guessing they are working on this as we type…

    #645305

    Hi,

That is right, 3.6.1 was released today and it should hopefully fix the problems in 3.6. Please try to update to 3.6.1 if you are still having problems.

    Regards,
    Rikard
