June 10, 2016 at 6:13 am #646038Hey natthompson,
Increasing the memory limit on wordpress and on the hosting server should resolve this issue.
To increase the wordpress memory limit please access wp-config.php file and add the below line right after @package wordpress
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
For a detailed explaination please check this link http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
Or you can contact your service provider and they can do it for you.Best regards,
VinayJune 10, 2016 at 8:14 pm #646324Hey, sorry, but this is the only answer? Which hosting service package has 256 MB? Most Business packages in Germany has 96-196 MB.
I have 128 MB and today, only 44 mb are in use.- This reply was modified 8 years, 6 months ago by Hokuspokus.
June 10, 2016 at 8:48 pm #646340Hi!
Most of the WordPress themes or Plugins do require more to execute properly, I am afraid.
We can not do something else for that and it costs nothing for your hosting provider to increase it.Thanks a lot

BasilisJune 11, 2016 at 10:16 am #646500Ok, How about update via FTP? What we must do?
” it costs nothing for your hosting provider to increase it” Yes, you are right. it’s cost nothing, except time (and money) for all parties. I have bought 6 Times your Theme. 6 Times i must ask provider, i must wait 6 times until support call is open, i must relogin 6 times on servers to update, instead to press one button for Update like versions before. At the same servers, the update with your theme was floating with previous versions. And what happen if i buy your great theme further 20 times? Must i recommend my clients: “Hey, a business hosting package is not enough, you must chosse the Busniess XXL-service for 18 USD per month, because on theme need 256 MB ram for update?”
“Most of the WordPress themes or Plugins do require more to execute properly,” As 128 MB? Ah ok. ??
feel like you’ve been taken for a ride- This reply was modified 8 years, 6 months ago by Hokuspokus.
June 11, 2016 at 1:00 pm #646521Hi,
I understand your point and not all our users are running it on 256MB and Enfold is working great for them on a basic server setup. However each site is setup in a different way and uses different plugins and since you are facing this issue now we are trying to help you :) Thank you for your understanding.
To update the theme manually please refer to this link – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Let us know if you have any questions.
