Hello, is it possible to change the heading of the 404 error page? Right now it says “Error 404 – page not found” I would like to change that. Thanks!
Hi again, I found the string for it under the 404.php file. I simply changed “Error 404 – page not found” to whatever text I wanted. Was this the way I am supposed to do it? Thanks again!
Hey!
Yes, that is how to do it. If you aren’t using a child theme then I would suggest making a personal changelog or version file for your own records which lists all of the changes you’ve made to the theme files directly so that you an easily re-apply those changes after theme updates.
