I am trying to update a dev site for testing and get the “this link has time out” error repeatedly with the zip plugin and theme upload method. I used a private window in FireFox to try. I tried a few other zip update plugins as well and all fail with the same message.

As far as Enfold, I only have some CSS customizations in the enfold theme custom css panel and in custom.css which I have copied.

If I uninstall the theme and reinstall will that get around the link timeout issue?

If I delete it and install by FTP will I lose all my page setups etc. or will they be kept in the database even with removing the theme?

    Thanks,

    Mike

p.s. I am putting in a login for you to the dev site. I do need to know the process though so I can replicate to other sites and eventually to production.

I did a manual update and added back in custom css. The Additional CSS field was already populated as I just renamed the existing theme vs. deleting it and triggering a possible cleanup of the database with Enfold data.

can you confirm if Enfold cleans itself up if uninstalled or leaves settings in place for future troubleshooting?

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Hi Mike,

If you remove the theme manually then it should not remove anything, everything should be the same in the database in both states. I’m not sure if I understand if you had some problems or not though? If you need any help then please try to explain the problem a bit further.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
