Any fix availabe?
We’re encountering two new JS errors after updating our WC-Shop to Enfold version 5.7.
2 errors:
(1) avia-js.js?ver=5.7:72 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set properties of undefined (setting ‘applyFilters’)
(2) avia-snippet-fold-unfold.js?ver=5.7:365 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘register’)April 24, 2024 at 7:54 pm #1440724Hey Bettina,
I can’t see those errors on your actual site, where can we see them?
Best regards,

Thanks for that, but I can’t see the error messages on those pages either. What exactly do we need to do in order to reproduce what you are seeing on your end?
Best regards,

Thanks for that, I see the error message now. This seems to be intermittent, since I didn’t see anything before? Also, is this affecting any functionality on your site? Did you try basic debugging like deactivating plugins or removing any custom code you might have added?
Best regards,
RikardApril 25, 2024 at 8:19 pm #1440874Thanks, Rikard. To answer your questions: Yes, it does affect functionality on the website – e.g. functionality of the (for our offering indispensible) plugin “Extra Product Options (ThemeComplete)” is getting blocked. And yes, I did try every basic debugging approach such as deactivating plugins one by one.
But it comes down to that the same two errors are generated in the JS of ENFOLD. And the errors appeared with the update to Enfold v. 5.7. “Extra Product Options” did coexist for many years – something must have changed in Enfold 5.7 that broke the code.April 26, 2024 at 9:15 am #1440925Hi,
Thanks for the update. So the problem goes away if you deactivate the Extra Product Options plugin then? Please note that the theme cannot be compatible with all available plugins, and our support is limited when it comes to debugging problems caused by unsupported third party plugins. I did a quick search for the plugin in question, and there seems to be other options available. Did you try to use an alternative plugin to see if that works better?
Best regards,
RikardApril 26, 2024 at 11:43 am #1440940Yes, the errors disappear after deactivation of Extra Product Options. I am not aware of other plugin options, that could provide same functionality.
April 26, 2024 at 3:43 pm #1440977Hi,
I’m not sure exactly what you are using it for, but here’s what looks like an alternative: https://woocommerce.com/products/extra-custom-product-options-for-woocommerce/

RikardApril 26, 2024 at 4:10 pm #1440987Many Thanks Rikard,
In the meantime I checked with the folks from ThemeComplete. The deactivation of an inline formatting feature in the EPA plugin settings did the trick and fixed both errors.
So, problem resolved – for the time being. And threat can be closed.
Thanks for the very speedy follow up! -
