One site: http 500 fatal errosr: http://area51pc.net/. I have tried older version of Enfold, same error, site will not come up. If I switch to a different theme, WP 2017 or now Divi, site appears, but I really don’t want to have to re-build site with a new theme. Called Hosting Company, they’ve also determined it to be the theme. Tried every version of Enfold I have, can’t seem to fix it, so I’ve placed a coming soon page up.

Site #2: http://dleeproperties.com/. Updated to latest versio of Enfold and got this error:
Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/content/49/9584749/html/kidscount/wp-content/themes/enfold/header.php on line 6

Site #2 fixed by updating php t. 5.6

Site #1 – Area 51PC – Updated php to 7.0, now have this error message if I try to activate Enfold:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare av_countdown_events_fallback() (previously declared in /home2/eswebsit/public_html/area51pc/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown.php:10) in /home2/eswebsit/public_html/area51pc/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown/events_countdown.php on line 12

Coming Soon Page no longer works after attempting to switch to Enfold either, after updating php.

Site #3 latest version of enfold: After updating to php version 7:
bestpizzainfortmyers.com is currently unable to handle this request.
    HTTP ERROR 500

    Hi Eleina_Shinn,

Sorry for the problems. Could you try to completely remove the theme folder from the server and then upload a fresh copy from your Themeforest account to see if that helps please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Okay, it seems to have resolved itself… I did upload a fresh version of Enfold, then waited a few hours. When I went back, it was up and running again. Whew! And I keep forgetting about the php version. I have a ton of sites using Enfold and I have to remember not to just update the theme, but to check their hosting first.

    Thank you,
    ~e

    Hi,

Great, glad you got it working. If you want a safe update process then you should consider performing them on a staging version of the site first. If you want to make sure that nothing changed on the site, then you should try to follow a process like this.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
