Topic: Theme is showing errors during upload

Hi

I have been following your video instructions to upload the new theme and it will not load. I am getting a blank screen only when I try to load it.There are also errors showing in the log when loading the theme using FTP (Will paste at the bottom). I have spoken to the hosting company support who say there is a code error (see below)

Ok, I have found a different error and it looks to be coding related rather than file related. You will need to go back to your theme developers and ask them to have a look at this for you –

Hope everything is going well.

Yes, thanks for that. But I told you before this method fix a menu and disturb anothers, because in this method you set a margin for all of level 3 of child menus not only in that specific menu! so All of them became top:155px, but it not works for all situations.
If you see all of Persian menus carefully, you can find the new problem !

Please help to solve this problem …..

I also looked at this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/text-encoding-problems-after-latest-update/ and I see those symbols (diamonds with question mark inside the entire page. Now it happens more often especially when I am not logged into my website.

It is something I have discovered today, I didn’t have this issue in the past days :-( :'(

abut which submenu items are you talking about? all you menu items from desktop view are displaying fine on mobile too. On desktop there are no submen items, see: http://i.imgur.com/s5kjg99.png

However, I noticed that you are using a caching plugin. Would you mind opening your plugin’s settings page and temporarily deactivate the caching of your site? Then please try to clear your browser cache and hard refresh the site (Hold CTRL + SHIFT + RELOAD) to see if that solves the issue.

Hello,

I’ve searched through a few threads and tried applying some simple changes to the text used in the titles for the accordion element. I’ve tried using the /strong> within the text edit section and it seemed to work. But any Quick CSS that I found from your admins in other threads, wouldn’t change it at all.

I’m looking to simply bold and center the text with the border, with the option of also centering the “+” expand icon as well.

Also, is there a way to slim down the title sections? Like bringing down the padding or top/bottom margins?

Lastly, the action of the accordion makes my bg/content below it jump a little abruptly, is there a way to slow the accordion opening animation or speed of the entire element?

Hi guys
thanks for all your help so far. think I may have a bug, but not sure. Using the latest version 3.8.4 with child theme

Here is the problem, set the homepage blog posts for a 3 column grid layout showing title and excerpt.
The excerpt will only show if I add the text using the wysiwyg editor when creating the new post.
When i switch to Advanced Layout Editor to add layout and content elements, the excerpt disappears.
Basically if I switch bet default editor and advanced layout editor, I lose my excerpts on the homepage.
Tried putting the text editor at the top of the page, but no dice.

Often I use the text box in the adv layout, but the text i add sometimes saves, sometimes it doesn’t.

any ideas what is going on here?

Where can I find the slide in effect of the mobile menu? I would like it to slide from the top not from top right…

Also is it possilbe that the menu slides from bottom of the headermenu? (appr. 88px) so that i can use the same logo for everything.

I had a pretty involved font-face issue (https://kriesi.at/support/topic/yet-another-css-font-face-question/) that was recently solved. However, when I just got back from a week-long vacation, I noticed that I again am having another issue. This time, I keep getting an “Unexpected CSS Token” error in my console when I inspect the site. I have searched and searched for solutions, but nothing seems to work. I have disabled all plugins, cleared my caches (Cloudflare & WPengine), etc.

Any suggestions?

Hello,

I have been using this code to force the menu to burgerise (is this a real word!!) sooner, it has always worked but just stopped working and reverted to changing at 1000px. The only recent major update was the adding of a child theme.

Hi Vinay,

there are no modification until the movement of the menu.

If the Menu is set back without margin-top and margin left, the sticky menu is perfect… But I have to move the Position to that place u see.

Can u help with movement?

Hi everyone,

I’ve read other topics on how to change layouts of categories and tags although I think it should be automatic.

I chose a personalized layout for my blog but layout of categories and tags is different from it.

To change category layout I put this code:

but what if I want to change tag page?

Do you think to solve this issue easily (maybe without all this code) in the future?

It might be possible with some css, can you point us to your search page? also try adding this css code in Quick CSS (located in Enfold > General Styling):

1.) Please use this css code to adjust the top position of the logo image.

I would also like to change the background-image on the mobile so that it is placed under the logo with some padding above and below.

Hi,
I have a content section (min 50% browser) with an image bckground and i want to put a text block on top of this section.
If i put a text block on top the block is aligned in the center of the content section.
I would like to align the text block at the bottom (padding 10px) of the content section.
How can i do this?

I managed to get the text at the bottom but now i want the text right aligned.
Use this code:

Hi!
I am using this custom code to make my menu items appear to the right of my logo:

left: 200px;
}
```
However, I need for the social icons (Facebook, twitter and the search icon) to remain on the right hand side of the webpage. Looking through other threads; this code was suggested:
```
.social_bookmarks {
top: 11px;
right: 600px;
}
```
But for some reason, this makes no effect to the location of the favicons, which still remain with the other menu items.
Any help would be appreciated!

Hey Xavier,

It’s likely because you have used #top as your anchor, the div is open until the end of the page so it’s correct that it indicates on the whole page. Could you try using #header instead maybe?

it was my bad, some translation strings were missing and that’s why i didn’t see the changes i was looking for
