    Hello!
    I read through most tickets on this regard, and I don’t want to use a plugin for this purpose.
    I tried some plugins (like addThis, ShareThis etc..) , moreover, I tried activating Enfold share buttons in “pages”, but they place themselves everywhere even in home page.

    My question is: How can I place Enfold social share icons in a widget to place them wherever I like in a sidebar.

    Thank you!
    Best Regards

    Hi Enfold Magicians!

    Something’s happened to my Quick CSS, it popped up just after I updated Enfold but I’m not sure if this is the cause. First off my fonts changed style, weight etc. In preparation for this I started saving a copy of my Quick CSS code in textedit as a back up to restore the code to what it was before. I’ve now used my backup code (which should have brought everything back to normal) and everything has completely broken, changes I made weeks ago have now gone missing as I assume the code has stopped working. I’m wondering if someone would please look at this CSS to see what has gone wrong? I’ve copied it below. Alternately, I’ve provided my log in details below.

    p.s the same thing happened after the last WordPress update, which is why I started saving my Quick CSS regularly so I could quickly revert back to normal. It seems like this isn’t going to work, do you guys have any tips about how to get around these intermittent update issues? (if that’s what’s caused this).

    Many thanks :)))

    hi if you go to

    http://www.kojuice.co.uk/

    You can see social media icons to the right of the ko juice logo. Looks good!

    How ever I also want them in the footer widget in footer column 3. I tried to copy and paste the html code but it fails. Code I tried was

    <ul class=”noLightbox social_bookmarks icon_count_4″><li class=”social_bookmarks_twitter av-social-link-twitter social_icon_1″><span class=”avia_hidden_link_text”>Twitter</span><li class=”social_bookmarks_instagram av-social-link-instagram social_icon_2″><span class=”avia_hidden_link_text”>Instagram</span><li class=”social_bookmarks_facebook av-social-link-facebook social_icon_3″><span class=”avia_hidden_link_text”>Facebook</span><li class=”social_bookmarks_pinterest av-social-link-pinterest social_icon_4″><span class=”avia_hidden_link_text”>Pinterest</span>

    It doesn’t render correctly. Can you advise what I should be doing to get this to render correctly like in the header area?

    #404732

    Hi gharding!

    Your wanting those exact icons?

    You could try placing this inside a text widget.

    $social_args 	= array('outside'=>'ul', 'inside'=>'li', 'append' => '');
    echo avia_social_media_icons($social_args, false);

    And then install a plugin that lets you execute PHP. Something like this perhaps, https://wordpress.org/plugins/exec-php/.

    How can I add the social media icons to a widget? I would like to put them a few other places than the top bar and footer.

    thank you.

    Hi!

    If you are talking about social icon on the socket section – http://i.imgur.com/0teDyAu.png it is working fine on my end. If you have added Facebook widget to your footer widget area, please go to Enfold theme options > Footer section and choose to display footer widgets.

    Hi!

    Edit the header.php file. Look for that code then place the addthis share button code below. If you review the thread, you can place the button code directly on template files: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/placing-addthis-social-icons-into-the-header/#post-135671

    <!-- AddThis Button BEGIN -->
    <div class="addthis_toolbox addthis_default_style ">
    <a class="addthis_button_facebook_like" fb:like:layout="button_count"></a>
    <a class="addthis_button_tweet"></a>
    <a class="addthis_button_pinterest_pinit"></a>
    <a class="addthis_counter addthis_pill_style"></a>
    </div>
    <script type="text/javascript">var addthis_config = {"data_track_addressbar":true};</script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="//s7.addthis.com/js/300/addthis_widget.js#pubid=ra-51de2d2b7e09a8f5"></script>
    <!-- AddThis Button END -->

    You need to use your own addthis code.

    In reply to: Configuring RSS Feeds

    Hi Josue,

    I’ve looked at the code for the rss/twitter widget and what I dont undertand is that if one of them are empty (eg no url or link) then it shouldn’t show the empty one.

    In my case I only want to have the RSS icon show so I left the twitter link empty.

    if(isset($twitter))
    	{
    		$link = 'http://twitter.com/'.$twitter.'/';
    		$before = apply_filters('avf_social_widget', "", 'twitter');
    		$output .= "<a href='$link' class='asc_twitter $addClass'>{$before}<strong class='asc_count'>".__('Follow','avia_framework')."</strong><span>".__('on Twitter','avia_framework')."</span></a>";

    	}

    shouldnt isset($twitter) return false if I haven’t added a URL in the twitter box?

    I could just throw out the twitter code all together but wouldnt that just be overwritten the next time I update the theme?

    I have three columns being used in the footer on this site, but we need the same social media icons currently used in the top bar to be down in the footer, as well. I was thinking if I could add them in the column 2 footer text area, it would go beneath that middle circle. There isn’t a social media widget I could drag there, but I think that would work. thank you.

    Hi Emma!

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    Add this on functions.php:

    function avia_sidebar_menu_additions()
    {
    	$settings = avia_header_setting();
    	$output   = "";

    	if($settings['header_position'] != "header_top")
    	{
    		/*add social icons*/
    		if($settings['sidebarmenu_social'] != "disabled")
    		{
    			$social_args = array('outside'=>'ul', 'inside'=>'li', 'append' => '');
    			$social	= avia_social_media_icons($social_args, false);
    			if($social) $output .= "<div class='av-sidebar-social-container'>".$social."</div>";
    		}

    		/*add widgets*/
    		if(!empty( $settings['sidebarmenu_widgets']))
    		{
    			if('av-auto-widget-logic' == $settings['sidebarmenu_widgets'])
    			{

    			}
    			else if( is_dynamic_sidebar( $settings['sidebarmenu_widgets'] ) )
    			{
    				ob_start();
    				dynamic_sidebar( $settings['sidebarmenu_widgets'] );
    				$output .= ob_get_clean();
    				$output = "<aside class='avia-custom-sidebar-widget-area sidebar sidebar_right'>".$output."</aside>";
    			}
    		}
    	}

    	echo $output;

    }

    add_action('ava_before_main_menu', 'avia_sidebar_menu_additions');

    Edit includes > helper-main-menu.php, find this code:

    if($headerS['header_social'] == 'icon_active_main' && !empty($headerS['bottom_menu'])) echo $icons;

    Below, add this code:

    do_action('ava_before_main_menu');

    Regards,
    Ismael

    Hi tvl76!

    You could use a text widget for the text, the custom menu widget for the menu, and for the social icons we don’t have a widget for that but you could use a text widget and add this inside.

    <a href = "#"><img src = "URL to your image" /></a>
    <a href = "#"><img src = "URL to your image" /></a>
    etc etc

    Cheers!

    I have a 3 column footer. In the middle footer I display a short text, beneath that a short menu (2 items) and beneath that i want to display the social icons from the footer. All aligned centered. How do I get this done?

    Thanks in advance!

    #379232

    Hi Elliot,
    Added code but no change. Facebook widget in footer opens in new tab but social media icons on top (header) still open in existing tab; same for all other external links.

    I have uploaded a font that contains tripadvisor icon.. Although I see it at the admin panel in the Avia builder, once I save a page , the icon doesn’t appear in the page view. All I want is to place it as a social profile icon at the top bar and at the widget area. I placed it here

    function avia_add_custom_icon($icons) {
    $icons[‘foursquare’] = array( ‘font’ =>’fontello’, ‘icon’ => ‘ue800′);
    $icons[‘tripadvisor’] = array( ‘font’ =>’sociconregular’, ‘icon’ => ‘3’);
    return $icons;
    }
    add_filter(‘avf_default_icons’,’avia_add_custom_icon’, 10, 1);

    function avia_add_custom_social_icon($icons) {
    $icons[‘Foursquare’] = ‘foursquare’;
    $icons[‘tripadvisor’] = ‘tripadvisor’;
    return $icons;
    }
    add_filter(‘avf_social_icons_options’,’avia_add_custom_social_icon’, 10, 1);

    and the icon is not displayed

    HI, I have 4 questions

    1. why when I make the page to parent page, the sidebar will have a title of the parent page?, How I can hide it? (how to show Photo)?

    2. I use your code which search on here,
    [av_toggle_container initial='0' mode='accordion' sort='']
    [av_toggle title='For Machiney' tags='']
    [av_sidebar widget_area='For Machinery']
    [/av_toggle]
    [/av_toggle_container]

    When I use it, it’s failed when copy three of above codes, to onw 3 items, but when I choose 2 item page, it’s failed to keep to show the item bar open on Item 2 page. How I can do with it? If this problem can solve, please forget the above question 1.

    3. Why the social Icons is failed to show on some browser? but I see your social icons are work successful.(How to show Photo?
    4. Am I add the quick CSS as below, so the Social Icons is failed to show on some browser? can it be more short?
    .main_color .sidebar .current_page_item>a, .main_color .sidebar .current-menu-item>a {
    color: #af00af;
    }
    .main_color .sidebar a {

    Hi!

    Yes, it is possible to add widgets on the top bar but it will require modification on the theme. Add the button using html codes on the phone info fields then use this to enlarge the social icons:

    #top .social_bookmarks li a {
    width: 50px;
    line-height: 50px;
    min-height: 50px;
    font-size: 25px;
    }

    #top .social_bookmarks li {
    width: 50px;
    }

    Cheers!

    <h3>715-379-4491 </h3>
    test pages can be found here http://62d.14e.myftpupload.com/

    Is it possible to add a widget to the header or top bar? I saw this website has a button centered on the middle of their top bar, http://konkapot.com.

    Would also like to be able to make my social icons larger like theirs and change the default color of them.
    Thanks

    I have been trying to customize the header and top bar to look like this Enfold website I found, http://konkapot.com, but am struggling.
    I imported the default demo to see if it would help and it has not. My temp website can be found here http://62d.14e.myftpupload.com/
    In short I can find way to customize the size of the Top Bar font, add a button or widget to the Top Bar, or change the size of the social icons in the Top Bar.

    Am I just missing some thing in the general settings?
    Thanks

    Hi,

    I’d like to reduce the whitespace on the right sidebar – see project-d.org. Quite a lot of space between the line which separates the main content / the sidebar and the actual widgets. How can that be done?

    On top, is there a way to set the width of the box with the social icons in the menue bar to the same as the one of the sidebar?

    Any help appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Hi ProAnts!

    Your wanting to change the icon of the twitter social in your sidebar correct? Hmm, this will be difficult because your already using it in your footer. I suppose we could try targeting it with CSS.

    Add this to your custom CSS.

    .sidebar .asc_twitter .social_widget_icon {
        background-image: url("URL to your icon") !important;
    }
    .sidebar .asc_twitter .social_widget_icon:before {
        content: "";
    }

    And then replace “URL to your icon” with the correct URL.

    Best regards,
    Elliott

    #369855

    I can change it to never sticky and just the social icon moves? the widget areas don’t move – so they don’t appear on smaller screens.
