Here are responses to your two questions.
(1) Please see attached screenshot. I want the info in the widget to look and behave like the Enfold theme’s social icons that are in the header. Since these two things appear next to eachother on the same page, I want them to match/behave the same.
(2) Is the “icon shortcode” to which you refer documented somewhere? I am not following what you are saying here.

Thank you for using Enfold.
Could you please provide a screenshot of the social icon layout that you have in mind? In the text widget, you can use the button shortcode with an icon or the icon shortcode. Generate the shortcode using the “Insert Theme Shortcode” button from a temporary post or page.

Hi,
You can use a widget for that. I have added a sample, you should see some content below the the social media icons, here are the steps:
- In Appearance > Widgets, I added a widget area and called it Header Area
- Added a text widget inside the Header Area
- Go to Enfold > General Layout > Main Menu Sidebar, set it to Header Area

NikkoI need to put social icons in additional pages and in a widget in the sidebar. These require “wordy” descriptions of the various channels for engaging with our organization, so the regular icons in the header are not sufficient. However, I would, at a minimum, like these icons to match the ones in the header, for aesthetic reasons.
I have tried several of the solutions found in the forums but cannot get it to work perfectly. Most importantly, I can’t get rid of the right-hand border.
Places I need the icons:
(1) On a page describing the Google Plus Community
(2) In a “Contact Information” text widget in the sidebar.For example, in the Contact Information widget, I need to include the following text:
[G+ Logo] Join the MTWC Community of Practice [link to G+ Group page]. What is a Community of Practice [link to page describing the G+ group]?
Things I would like to do:
(1) Make bigger. Above 20px, the icons’ round background color doesn’t seem big enough for the icon.
(2) Remove border on right
(3) Insert on a page and in a text widget in sidebar
(4) Use on hove the background color that matches the social media channels’ branding (e.g. light blue for Twitter, red for Google Plus)
(5) Get full documentation. Does any exist? This pasting of random, unexplained snippets and hoping they work is annoying.Hi,

Hi, I have installed Enfold and I am using the Consulting demo. I can’t for the life of me figure out how to add widgets below the social media icons and logo on the left side bar. Please advise. Thanks!

I´m facing some issues with the header and the socket on mobile and wasn´t able to find the answers to fix my problems in the other threads.
1.) I would like to reduce the height of the dark grey header bar above logo and main menu to a minimum without sacrificing usability
2.) The search bar / icon doesn´t show on mobile. How can I add it left of the main menu or anywhere visible?
3.) The footer menu isn´t centered (Über uns, Presse etc.). How can I fix that?I´m currently using this code:

1- Seems like there was a caching issue and now that is gone since i can see all of your icons in your first footer column :)
2- You can add your code to another text widget element

So I am having three problems with these social icons in the bottom of my footer section:1. The code below, when put into a single box, only reflects the first icon for facebook. As such I have put each piece of code into an individual text box to ensure I am able to get Twitter, FB, LI to show. How can I fix this?
2. I want to add an additional tab for Slideshare, is it possible to do so in this same piece of code, or do I need to add that seperately?
3. I want to add name text for each one next to them, that is centered. Currently when I add the text, it sticks to the top of the line, and there is no spacing >.<In my quick css I have:

Thanks for getting back with me. I deactivated all of the plugins and it didn’t make any difference.
I think the problem my be revealed in the context of the var_dump that I did based on the PHP error. I’m thinking it starts to cough and sputter any time it gets to a variable for which there is no variable. Look at the array and tell me if anything looks suspicious to you:

We have other sister companies we would like on the bottom footer of the website, it can be within column 4 at bottom but is there a widget or something I can download to input images of other logos and activate the logos to link to the other websites??????
Let me know if this is possible. It needs to work similar to social media icons but for our other companies: (caligreeturf, caligreenwater, caligreensolar, caligreenlife etc).

this won’t be easily solvable unfortunately. Maybe you can try to build a second header widget instead and implement your social icons inside of it.

The problem is that i set the values for a screen size, and that is OK, but when i see it on other screen sizes the text moves.There is a way to fix it next to the social icons.

I do not see the social icons in the header. However to include the download button there are 2 options.
1. To add the button next to the menu items enable header widget area and add the html in the widget box and css in Quick CSS.
2. In Enfold > Header > Header Phone Number/Extra Info > Display on top bar > Enter the button html in the “Phone Number or small info text” and add the button style in Enfold > General Styling > Quick CSS

since a few weeks we have the problem that our company mainpage changes “over night” from our our regular mainpage to a view where only header and footer is available and in main content: “registration closed”. We are using a Multisite wordpress installation with main domain and several subdomains.
When I go in the backend to enfold settings and change “Frontpage settings” and change it back and save (after this clearing cache from gator cache) — regular mainpage is shown again.
I enclosed a screenshot from the mainpage when problem occurs. Also source code of corrupted site. This problem always occurs between two days — I have a look to the page at the evening everything is fine — next morning page shows corrupted mainpage.
- UPDATE: yesterday this problem occurs within the day – from one minute to another mainpage showed only “registration closed” within footer and header
- main content missing
- header and footer still there
- CSS data is loaded
- What issue could be the problem?

wir haben seit einiger Zeit das Problem das sich quasi über Nacht in unserer Firmen Multisite Installation die Startseite ändert… Dies geschieht tatsächlich jeweils über Nacht…. Wir bringen das Problem mit Enfold in Verbindung da sich hier in den Theme Einstellungen das Problem auch wieder beheben lässt, jedoch leider nur für kurze Zeit.
Ich habe einen Screenshot angefügt um das Problem zu veranschaulichen. Wir erhalten gerade nahezu jeden Morgen die unerfreuliche Startseiten Ansicht “Die Registrierung wurde deaktiviert”.
- Content der Startseite fehlt
- Header und Footer sind da
- CSS Dateien werden geladen
Das Problem kann behoben werden in dem wir im wordpress Backend unter ENFOLD –> Enfold Child (DE) Optionen –> Frontpage Settings –> die Startseiten Auswahl abändern wieder zurückstellen und dann speichern –> wir leeren dann noch den Cache von Gator Cache –> Startseite wieder da……
Gibt es da bekannte Ursachen/ mögliche Zusammenhänge für das Problem?

I would like to add 3 icons in the footer (not in the socket): Mail, Instagram and LinkedIn.
I found the following code for mail and LinkedIn, that I placed in a text widget:
