I am so happy you added the Ajax Portfolio to the Enfold theme. I have had no problem adding the items I want but for some reason, when adding a video, it only opens up in lightbox. When I use the same Ajax Portfolio in the Choices theme, you click on the featured image, just like you do for a picture, and slides to the top and gives a brief description of the video. In Enfold, you click on the image and it just opens in lightbox instead of suing the Ajax feature. Hope that makes sense.
Am I doing something wrong? I have even tried adding preview images.

Essentially, in the enfold theme, how do I:
1. Remove the top bar above the header
2. Reduce the whitespace found across all pages between the menu and text
3. Reduce the white space above and below the horizontal ruler.
Is there is some css code that I can drop into the “Quick CSS” box to help with these modifications. For 2 and 3, I can do some trial and error with the code to find what is right.. just need some help with code :)

on your demo page (ive not installed it as im building from afresh) and I see you have several galleries on this page that are different to the default regarding the thumbnail borders
the top gallery has no border at all but has a fine margin between each image. How do I replicate but also do it so that it doesnt wreck the other galleries on that same page if I create another (with borders this time). Just like this page.
Also, how do you replicate the others with a different margin to the borders. Am I missing a setting somewhere in the builder or does it all have to be done in CSS. Either way, how do i create this page?

Hi Guys, thank you so very much for being there! I just spent an hour with client (shared screen) & they are having some serious issues with the advance editor & the layer slider. I have set up a username/password for you to the admin area (wordpress) if you need it after reading the issues below let me know where to send it . . . & yes all plugins except akismet have been disabled . . .
1. She wants to be able to adjust header tag colors via html, we changed it through the text editor
<h1 style=" . . . "></h1>tags, the advanced editor shows the color change but when viewing it after saved the color remains the theme default color which we had set to boxed blue, however, setting the changes via html should work but is not? . . .2. Then after using text editor (in avia advanced editor) the avia visual editor doesn’t show anything, the screen appears white & when you click into it the html then shows “if you highlight” everything (like double clicking your mouse inside of it or having to use “ctrl a”). So after using the text editor it is rendering the visual editor useless . . . then, if you publish it instead of saving to draft & go back in to edit in visual it shows 5 additional return lines have been added everywhere . . .
3. She added a video then tried to change the size of it using the custom ration feature & it didn’t change the size of the video, it stays “huge”.
Your help is greatly needed with the above as soon as possible, she’s ready to trash this theme & trash me for recommending it . . . let me know if you need admin access to the site . . .
4. As to the layer slider – she has added 3 slides & only one is showing. I’ve gone in there to look & I cannot see what might be wrong, looked at documentation to no avail . . .
5. In avia when centering an image it doesn’t stay centered but moves back over to the left . . .

The tutorial on the hover is useful and kind of what I expected, however (and sorry if this is a really obvious answer but I am new to customising in wordpress) where can I access the html code for the home page? I know I can edit the css via style.css, but the html doesn’t show because of the Avia layout builder (which is awesome), and if I click on default editor there is nothing there??

Thanks for the advice, the code worked for the text block, but I guess what I probably needed instead was the background color for the column instead of the text block. How would I do that? I have a background image in the main content and would like to produce blocks of text but only on the front page. I realise that the color section would do this, but it can’t be a anything other than full width can it?

Topic: One column portfolio grid?
Hi,
I would like to have a 3 column portfolio grid on my home page. But no matter what settings I choose, I see only one portfolio item. As I filter by category, the image changes. What am I doing wrong?

I have arranged my landing page as a group of eight categories that link to the sub-categories, which then link to the array of products in that category. But on that last page the image of that sub-category appears side to side at the top. How to remove that image and replace it with a heading? That image, which I discovered by inspecting the element with Chrome, appears to be a category-thumb…

Enfold theme
Hi,
I have a static image at the top of my homepage, right under the header.
I’d like to add transparency ‘under’ that image, so that we can see the background image.
How could I do so?
In the meantime, I created a colored section with a custom background, but of course we see it’s a different image and the overall layout looks like a puzzle!

I’d like to replace the Facebook icon with one i have created myself. I’ve been searching through the files and I am struggling to find the name of the image. Please could you tell me where the files are located so i can upload my image.

We are using the Media Grid plugin, in webkit browsers whenever the mouse hovers over the image it seems to disappear and we need to reload the page to get it back. We contacted media grid and they’ve advised us of the following:
“if you note, there’s an additional overlay that is wrongly added by another element of the website (probably the theme).
It is causing the issue on webkit browsers. So, you simply have to ask the theme developer why it is attached on third part elements.
On the MediaGrid side everything is working perfectly!”
Could you please help me disable this overlay to correct this issue?

Anyway for the moment my site is working fine so I’m happy I’ve been able to achieve what I wanted and I love the fact that if one day I’m bored with the way it looks and I want to make some change the Enfold theme is a great theme for that purpose.

I use mac and it is only a problem with firefox and Chrome (with firefox the image go really big on mouse over and with chrome the footer moves a little bit up and down)

The reason why I dont use Image Element is that I want the image to have a link.

Can you give us a link to the actual site? I can’t seem to reproduce the issue on my end.
Do you have Enfold 1.6?
FYI, there is an Image element under Media elements Tab.
