Hi,
I have come across a little issue which I was hoping you could help me with.
We have several pages that need to be off the radar from the internal WordPress search. I have installed a plugin that does this and have also excluded the page IDs from the search by editing functions.php.. and for the most part it works perfectly except for the ajax search which is on top right corner of every page. The pages that should not be searched show up as links in the drop down when searched as drop down items.
I was wondering if there is a way to
1- Exclude these pages from the drop down quick search on each page
2- if above is not possible can the search option be removed from the top menu? And replaced with a link? I could then link an image/icon to go to the main search page.
Thanks so much for all your help.

Is it possible to set the height of the background element without adding additional elements within in the background? I only want the background Stretched to fit the screen but with a set height on pageload, but as the page scrolls down the background disappears.
If my question doesn’t make sense, here is close example of what I’m trying to do.
On this website they use a fixed background image.

I want to do something like this but without a logo fading in.
Thanks for reminding me about the videos. They are a helpful reference. :)

Hi Team Kriesi,
I have implemented the portfolio grid in my site with the ajax portfolio preview. So far – so good :-) … means on my site, if the user clicks on a portfolio image, a preview opens on the top of the grid where he can click on the arrow to jump to the the next preview. Is it possible to show the first portfolio item from the beginning – so that the portfolio preview is shown from the beginning without that the customer first has to click on an image…

I have a image of myself in a page that i give a border-radius of 200px and that image looks very nice in Chrome and Firefox, but when i look this page with I.E. version 11, that same image looks terrible…….!
this is my quick css:
.page-id-1195 .avia_textblock img {
border-radius: 200px;
}
please help
Hi,
On the Advanced Layerslider I am using a background image whose dimensions are smaller than the actual background size:
– Background size: 1600×470
– Background image size: 800×235
I then let the browser stretch the image. I am doing this to reduce background image size, and the reason I can do this is because the background image is gaussian blurred anyway so the browser stretching the image has no negative visual side effects.
The problem is than when you reduce the browser screen size to iphone/ipad-like dimensions, the background image at some particular window size suddenly shrinks and is no longer stretched by the browser to fit the slider ‘window’.
Please can you assist?
Thank you!
Richard

Here’s the page I’m working on: http://eichlerclub.com/eichler-in-1958/
I can’t seem to get the Gallery to save a set of images. When I use the default editor and default WordPress Create Gallery function, it works, as you can see in the first gallery on the page. When I use the Enfold Gallery function (which seems to use the WP Gallery function itself), everything seems to work, but the gallery defaults to the oldest images in the library (as I note another person posted about). When I go to edit that gallery, there are no images saved. You can see this on the page as the second gallery.
I have tried deactivating all plug-ins, no change. I’ve created an admin account for you to check it out if you wish. Will post credentials in a private message.
I have a page with a color section, in wich I have a background image. When you scroll the page, the image is fixed. Thats working fine.
I have two questions:
– Can I give the image my own % height in stead of the 25% / 50% or 75% of the browsers height? I can’t find it in the css
– The image is not getting smaller when I resize my window. In other words: I want the background image to be a 100% width of the browser width, or can I set a different width for mobile… Now my image is to big for mobile devices and is not responsive at all… How can I fix this?
I tried several settings in the editor…
I would like to make the title bar semi transparent when I rollover the images in the masonry gallery. Any quick CSS I can add to the element?

hello kriesi team,
i got an issue with the heading and menu fonts. they do not render correctly in safari and firefox but look good in chrome (on mac – didn’t check windows yet) the heading problem seems to occur every time i put an a special heading element inside a layout element. since i do not see the same issues on the enfold sample page i really wonder what it is that causes this issue. here is a screen shot comparing the browser and showing the problem:
http://chrisbuchner.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/browser-check.png
as you can also see, the logo looks very rugged in firefox whereas it is resized smoothly in other browsers.
last but not least i also tried to change the height to which the header resizes when scrolling down (using these instructions https://kriesi.at/support/topic/logo-and-main-header-menu/#post-212922 // https://kriesi.at/support/topic/change-logo-image-for-scrolled-header/#post-188003)
when I change the value to 1.5 the header becomes even smaller first and jumps back the actual value eventually. how could i change this behavior ?
many thanks, chris.
Hello Yigit:
Please tell me what the permissions should be set to.
Btw, great name (Yigit)!
Thank you,

Hey!
Did you test the code I posted here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/post_gallery-filter/#post-213804 ? I tested it again and it works for me. I just added a gallery element, uploaded some pics, set the url: http://www.clipular.com/c/4546260648329216.png?k=Z0vjY5c4YaE0OpYIHM2x__0tv2E , and then saved the element. Make sure you use the “small thumbnail” gallery type because the “big preview” image doesn’t support custom urls. I’ll look into it – maybe we can implement it but I’m not sure…
Cheers!
Peter
Hi!
What page is that from and what device? I tried going through your site now but I’m not getting any issues.
Best regards,
Devin
Hi susannetessamueller!
Ihr könnt es einfach mit CSS verstecken – fügt hierzu diesen Code in das Quick CSS Feld ein
#top .portfolio-preview-image .avia-gallery .avia-gallery-big {
display: none !important;
}
Cheers!
Peter
Hey Dan!
Please check the permission settings on your wp-content/uploads folder
Cheers!

This code still doesn’t allow the plugin to work properly. The lightbox still shows up and the custom link assigned to the image is not pushing through. When I added it to the parent theme, it didn’t give me the HTML error but when I copied the functions.php file to the child theme, I got the error. Either way, the plugin still isn’t working.

Hey!
It looks like maybe the permissions on the uploads folder may be set so that they aren’t publicly accessible. Try checking your chmod permissions on the uploads and sub folders and make sure they can be read by public users.
Cheers!

Hi!
#top .flex_column img {
-ms-interpolation-mode: bicubic !important;
image-rendering: optimizeQuality !important;
}
Best regards,
Peter
Hi, Thanks! This has helped. Seems my changes in CSS caused the issue. The image is not centered but I hope I will manage to fix it on my own. Two last questions:
1. how can I limit the text lenght on the post index page?
2. On post single page, how can I make the featured image not being able to open in the lightbox?
regards
B.
I want to remove some white space between or padding (not sure what this is called) around the gallery and make the elements closer together. The result I am looking for is to have less white space between the images and the blue bar, and less between the images and map. Please see my test site here:
http://ehousestore.com/
Thank you.
Hey!
Let’s start again. Switch to “Small Fixed Header” on Enfold > Header > Header Type. Use a logo with the actual dimension of 340×156px without the bottom padding. Upload it on Enfold > Theme Options > Logo, select the “Full size” before you click the “Use image as logo” button. Add this on Quick CSS to resize the header and show the full width and height of the logo:
/*default header: main logo and main menu height. increase max value if you want to use a bigger logo*/
#header_main .container, .main_menu ul:first-child > li a{ height:156px; line-height: 156px; }
.logo, .logo a, .logo a img {
max-width: 340px !important;
}
Please let us know if this is done then give us a link to the test page.
Best regards,
Ismael
Hey!
I’m not so sure why but the title is being replaced with the pdf image. I placed the pdf image button below the text and the title started to show again. Let me ask Dude about this.
Cheers!

Hi Munford!
Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under Styling tab
.avia-slide-wrap img:hover {
opacity: 1 !important;
}
Cheers!

HI
Is it possible to disable the transparency rollover on the map image on this page
http://www.copenhagenfilmcompany.dk/2014/corporate_film/
?
it is not linked to anything.
thanks for your help!
sorry I guess those images show up here – meant it to be in html….
I am looking at this page where I am still seeing this shift:
http://www.copenhagenfilmcompany.dk/2014/
halfway down there are logos with this html:
<h3 style=”text-align: center;”>
CINEMATIC STORYTELLING</h3>
<p style=”text-align: center;”><span style=”font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.5em;”>New perspectives.
New ideas.</span></p>
I tried to change it to this:
<h3 style=”text-align: center;”>
CINEMATIC STORYTELLING</h3>
<p style=”text-align: center;”><span style=”font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.5em;”>New perspectives.
New ideas.</span></p>
which seems to work but then if I look at the html again, it defaults to:
<h3 style=”text-align: center;”>
CINEMATIC STORYTELLING</h3>
<p style=”text-align: center;”><span style=”font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.5em;”>New perspectives.
New ideas.</span></p>
what am I doing wrong? Those <h> tags keep tagging my images.
Hi!
I debugged the code on my server and I noticed that the link data requires an array – please try this code
add_filter('avf_avia_builder_gallery_image_link', 'avia_change_gallery_thumbnail_link', 10, 4);
function avia_change_gallery_thumbnail_link($link, $attachment, $atts, $meta)
{
$custom_url = get_post_meta($attachment->ID, '_gallery_link_url', true);
if(!empty($custom_url)) $link[0] = $custom_url;
return $link;
}
Cheers!
Peter
